Is anyone else noticing an uptick in far-right content and Russian propaganda on reddit lately?

To me it almost seems like reddit has started pushing it.

Bookwyrm's catalog is currently quite limited. Every user can always add a book, of course, but a lot of people will not find the button or just don't want to do this, and so they'll leave the platform disappointed.

To bolster Bookwyrm's chances against Goodreads etc., there should at least be a browser plugin where we can enter an Amazon link and have Bookwyrm's data entry form be automatically populated with all data available from Amaozon (and, by cross-searching with the ISBN, with the book's OpenLibrary ID etc.). Of course, the user should still check the data before ultimately submitting it. In creating the tool, one should also check if one needs to beware of copyright traps e.g. in the book descriptions.

(Theoretically, one might even go so far as to create a tool that scrapes book data in bulk, but this poses (a) increased legal risks and (b) will most likely lead to lots of duplicated books & authors on Bookwyrm, which for lack of an easy merging tool would be a real pain – the many existing duplicates are already annoying.)

Is there currently any tool as I described?

Harvard announced that, starting in the 2025-2026 academic year, it will not charge tuition for students from families earning under $200,000.

Trump adviser Stephen Miller erupted on Fox News after MSNBC analyst Andrew Weissmann criticized Trump's invocation of the Alien Enemies Act to deport migrants as possibly unconstitutional.

Miller called Weissmann "an absolute moron," "a fool," and "a degenerate," claiming he "shills for people who rape and murder Americans."

When host Martha MacCallum noted both could express opinions, Miller shouted that he'd "defend American lives" while Weissmann "can defend illegal alien rapists, terrorists and predators."

This continues Miller's pattern of televised outbursts, including previous incidents on CNN and reactions to SNL jokes about Trump.

In case you ever wanted to blur your house from google street view you can. A little privacy i suppose, its pretty easy. you dont need a reason to do it. This probaly the only thing google lets opt out of which is cool.

Whats the best way to take action for me as a single user? What kind of posts should I focus on making? Ive heard of fetching reddit posts, maybe I could do that if theres like an easy process to do so, I'd happily feed some communities I like with posts from the silicon valley mafia platform to this platform!

Also whats the name of this platform? I registered under feddit org, is the umbrella term called fediverse? Accroding to wiki then this(fediverse) should be linked to platforms like pixelfed and mastadon too, is it? How do I see content from them or in what way are these platforms interlinked with this reddit styled one?

I just purchased an AMD framework 13 and while I wait (im)patiently for it to arrive, I was wondering what Linux distros people here are using.

I've only ever use Ubuntu on desktop, but I think I'm ready to move away from it now, which I guess leaves fedora and mint as officially supported distros.

What have you tried? What are your experiences?
