Ive just been thinking recently about what mainstream music could sound like in the next 10, 20 or 30 years from now. Personally I am not a fan of today’s mainstream music as I feel most of it has a depressing tone to it (I am 20 btw). I just feel like music is starting to lose meaning as years go on. But anyway, I’m curious on anyone’s thoughts on what music could sound like in the coming future. 🔊

It’s going to be really cool. If you have any fun ideas you think would make it even more interesting please comment what they are :)

It’s making me crazy not being able to remember the song. I remember the first time I heard this I just wept.

i love kali uchis, i've never seen someone make music as good as hers, her music makes me a better person. her music stimulates my brain. i love kali uchis shes the best singer and no one is better than her, my favorite kali uchis song is moonlight, it was the first song by her that i had listened to. before i knew about moonlight my life was sad, then my friend showed my what moolight was and guess what, my life is still sad but now i love kali uchis. her music changed me and she makes me happy, everyone should listen to kali uchis at some point in their life because everyone deserves the same opportunity i had (unless your diana you an opp fr keep hating on kali uchis), kali uchis deserves to be were shes at right now and much more, without her music, i would of probably been the same ngl, but like, her music is so good, so without her music it would of like been me without knowing kali uchis, and not knowing kali uchis is bad. kali uchis one of the best things that has ever happened i love kali uchis, what do y’all think

Formely known as Porcelain and The Tramps. She had a few popular hits, but I think most were underrated rock/pop songs. Does anyone know what happened to her? She's not active on social media that much either...

I work in education and I'm giving a presentation on music as historical artifacts and I need some songs that shows that the meaning of a song can change based upon the context of time basically the song means something different today than when it first came out. Are there any songs people can recommend that illustrate this ,that are able to be played for high school students?

"Our priority is to evaluate the lyrics and establish communication with the audience. We do not record by mere impulse or by the number of likes. We are authentic and we value the truth. Lies are not our thing."

What are they talking about lies? Evaluate the lyrics? I don't understand. They've been singing about coke deals and murders for 40 years but they have a problem with Peso Pluma's lyrics? I don't really like his music but he seems like a nice enough kid. I don't understand why they're shitting on him like this.

I have been hearing for a long time how great OK Computer is and I just listened to it for the first time and, meh…

I kept thinking, “when is this singer going to stop droning?”

What am I missing? Please enlighten me, I am willing to listen to reason and change my mind.

The slightly squishy bass beat that comes in at the 6-second mark plus the low bzzz take me back to 90s dance parties.

Anyone know genre / sub genre that would fit into?

I’m thinking of songs like “Lunacy” by Swans, “A Pain That I’m Used To” by Depeche Mode, “They’re Coming To Take Me Away” by Nepolean or “Skinned” by Blind Melon. Songs that are just absolutely batsh*t crazy but also deeply engrossing/catchy. Drop em below I’d love to know more of these songs.

I've a few LPs acd CDs.

Tonight listening to an LP pf DM and Cleo Laine. Smilin' Through.

You foget how damn good Dudley Moore was as a jazz pianist.

In so many ways, his less is moore was more.

Sublime, putting Ms Laine to shame IMHO as I'm listening to Dudley's playing.

Buy anything with Dudley Moore playing piano, you will not be disappointed.

I'm not too sure if this is the kind of thing to post on here but I recently acquired a Keyboard for my room and don't have the cable. The power port says"DC" so I assume it's a DC cable but there seem to be different sizes? Any help with what to buy/find would be greatly appreciated👍
