I've been using Weawow but wondering if there's anything better lately. Preferably free or low cost and without ads.

Nope weawow is the best. It's one of the few non-FOSS apps I use. No tracking that I'm aware of.

I use an older version that still had Dark Sky, and it has the most accurate weather prediction where I live (middle Europe).

IIRC Weawow has Apple weather as a provider, which is basically a rebranded Dark Sky (check out Apple's weatherkit for more info about this rebrand thing)

Ok, I thought they removed when Apple bought it. I remember seeing it in a change log, maybe I'm wrong or they brought it back under Apple branding. In my older version the provider shows up as Dark Sky (Apple).

Yeah, DarkSky was shut down officially last march I think, but last year at wwdc they announced weatherkit as a replacement. Though I am not sure if weatherikt is a 100% match or if it is better or worse than darksky. I want to assume its the same or better but its apple so we never know...
