Ergonomic, split and other weird keyboards

Rules

Keep it ergo

Posts must be of/about keyboards that have a clear delineation between the left and right halves of the keyboard, column stagger, or both. This includes one-handed (one half doesn't exist, what clearer delineation is that!?)

i.e. no regular non-split¹ row-stagger and no non-split¹ ortholinear²

¹ split meaning a separation of the halves, whether fixed in place or entirely separate, both are fine.
² ortholinear meaning keys layed out in a grid

With PBT Notion and NK Creams. What a delightfully wide Ortho board. Many thanks to

  • weteor for overall board design
  • chewiedies for the case design (chewie also printed this case and sent me the PCB)

All I really had to do was solder on some sockets.

this looks fantastic, I really have to learn to solder so I can make one of these I keep seeing

I could build one for you. I have 2 pcbs left. Message me on discord username chewiedies

Soldering is a skill you can absolutely pick up quickly. Grab a cheap kit from Amazon (or a pinecil), watch a couple YouTube videos, and practice on a spare PCB (can get actual soldering practice board for quite cheap).

Plus one for the Pinecil. It's a great iron and inexpensive

Echoing hyperreal, get a pinecil. I’ve hand many soldering irons and this thing is amazing and only $25
