I just started one focused on butts ๐ booty.world to 'back up' some of my fave booty-related subreddits.
I have no idea what I am doing though :} So can't really say its "good" but its there.
I think you need to create at least one community inside your instace for others to be able to federate to it (tried it but with just the instance doesn't seem to work).
Thanks!. Yeah I gotta figure that out. Something funky going on.
There are several communities in there atm but I'm getting some "odd" federation behavior.
If you are interested in federating there are two ways I have seen it work (again, warning, note that it is NSFW ๐ ):
use your search feature on your main instance and enter
[!butt_frenzy@booty.world](/c/butt_frenzy@booty.world)
then you can subscribeor, from your main instance, alter your url to:
{your main instance}/c/butt_frenzy@booty.world
so for example if your main instance islemmy.ml
that would be:https://lemmy.ml/c/butt_frenzy@booty.world
^
butt_frenzy
is one of the communities onbooty.world
for example.Gotta be a better way, and I am probs doing something wrong. Will work on it. Open to feedback if anyone has any advice though haha.
Thanks.
It's working now, thanks. Still can't see the list in communities without an account so maybe creating a landing community just to check a list and a warning about the content could help
