The "flightless" livestock birds like Turkeys, peacocks and chickens can still produce enough lift to roost in a tree and get back down.

It's pretty trippy when you see a tree full of chickens and you bring the corn out.

Yea well they spread their wings and glide down and flap a lil bit right at the end. First time I ever saw that. These ones weren’t super big and fat like your typical picture of a huge Turkey though. They slept up in the tree to be safe from predators like coyotes and rattlesnakes.

Less of a graceful defiance of gravity, more like doing pull-ups without a bar. Like they figured out how to double-jump and it takes some work.
