Ok this is one of those days I never get my clothes right - HALP. What are y'all wearing today?

I have an afternoon indoor shindig. Getting there involves PT and 20 mins walk. Walk will be in sunlight but then late Arvo when sun is gone. I get cold but warm up quickly when moving.

Have sneakers+jeans (black or blue). Do I go with

  • singlet and light knit long sleeve top + pashmina/glove/beanie backup
  • long sleeve undershirt and long sleeve knit + ...
  • do I go full overcoat and have to stash/carry it?
  • or big warm jumper
  • or a light jacket.

Its sunny and no wind but it's fekkin brisk.

Love a cape! I do have a couple of ponchos that serve the same purpose

If anyone here is into old school doom style games but wants something a bit more modern, check out Prodeus.

Amazing game! Same frantic pace as old school doom.

Contemplating whether I should contact my gulp real estate agent to ask for the rangehood bulbs to be replace. Or if I should just pay a tradie to do it myself. The latter might be better value as I'm about due for a rent increase...

I donโ€™t know what to have for dinner tonight.

Do I make mushroom soup and toss pasta into it with some toasted bread on the side or do I cook up a big pot of bolognaise sauce with pasta that itโ€™ll last a week.

Decisions decisions. Help!

Alright I've mostly got the frame of my travel down pat - still need to work out accom for the latter half of my trip, but at least I know how long to spend in each general area. Still yet to organise travel sim and travel insurance, although my friend is very generously lending me their rather primo backpacking rucksack that I can use for this trip, otherwise I was looking at having to possibly fork out for that too (my own daypack is on its last legs and a suitcase would be a bitch)

I've spent the last 3 hours whipping up some curries to tide me over till I leave. Tidied the kitchen, had a shower, ate dinner, and am just wiped out now. Brain overloaded from all the research. Will look through it tomorrow morning with fresh eyes. Over the last couple weeks I've noticed that I find it easier to put a natural stop to things rather than fixating/hyperfocusing well into the night.

Maybe at long last I'm getting better at pacing myself... that or I'm getting old and tired more easily. Am definitely taking a cue to have plenty of "do nothing" periods slotted into my travel schedule.

Yep, scheduling in down/chillax time is essential for travel. As is chillax time at home.

Visit the deer at Nara. That is very relaxing. ๐ŸฆŒ
