Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

At least they're discussing it I guess, though I see this eventually being infiltrated and twisted by the same psycho followers who believe in the Heritage Foundation's psychotic Christofascist bullshit.

[–] Ledivin@lemmy.world 21 points 4 months ago (1 children)

The Trump campaign already disavowed it, even if we all know that's a lie. It's trivial for them to handwave it away

Plus they have their own crazy agenda to lean on

I hope people start combing through that data dump from the furries and dropping interesting tidbits in a steady drip, drip, drip...

[–] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 10 points 4 months ago (2 children)

When you need someone to get your back - furries are there.

I can't wait for this to be in the history books: the GOP went project 2025, and the furries struck back

[–] AdamEatsAss@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

Never offer a furry your back. I've made that mistake before.

I have yet to see the actual data dump linked any time I see the story. Not that I've looked myself...

Looks like it's a very large .sql file, zipped up.

“I just couldn’t sit back and watch how everything is so one-sided,” said Townsend, 33, of Philadelphia, Mississippi.

Everything is viewed through the boomer lens. 30 year olds are children. 80 year olds are grown ups.

If only The Plan for the New America Century got this kind of attention before 9/11.

[–] teamevil@lemmy.world 9 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Well the Heritage foundation had a huge roll in getting the Patriot Act Passed and used a national tragedy to do it..they have no shame and are going after our freedoms like a crack head looking for a fix.

The initial copy of The Project for the New American Century that was distributed in a closed Republican conference and had a graphic of a plane hitting the twin towers on the cover.

This conference was well before 9/11.

It's The Project For The New American Century, and they didn't say anything that wasn't being said since Reagan, since like 1/2 of the folks involved were in Reagan's, or HW Bush's political machine.

Also not mentioned is how many of those involved with the Project had deep ties to Israel and, to a lesser degree, the Saudis.

[–] Melkath@kbin.earth 1 points 4 months ago

Oh. Since Reagan they were talking about perpetrating a major attack on the American homeland to create widespread panic resulting in the American people voluntarily giving up major freedoms and all of their privacy?

Didn't know that.

[–] Lasherz12@lemmy.world 8 points 4 months ago

Because young content creators are the only ones besides Bernie and the squad talking about POLICY. Do better old media.
