I relised most things theses days are paid but what are the best free or open source tools for dnd for both players and dm's? also where can i find free campaigns and addons for dnd without paying and are legal also without havint to write becasue im trying to get into dnd more but im kinda a new player.

I would recommend checking out Owlbear Rodeo for virtual tabletop if you use or are wanting to use VTTs. Very lightweight, works well across devices, has all the tools you need to get started.

As for adventures, I would suggest looking on DMsGuild, there are many free offerings there and even more reasonably priced offerings from 3rd party publishers. If you start liking the game enough to put some money out, please give your money to the third parties making amazing content!

I really like Obsidian for keeping notes. It's a decent self hosted wiki that has functional text editing options.
