Oh no. Came home last night to see a white rose placed on the windscreen of my opposite neighbour's car. She's elderly and the only one who talked to everyone and knew everything about the place, but been unwell for quite a while and I haven't seen or heard from her in months. I remember how lonely and weak she was at times.

Just heard some noise outside my door and opened it to see... her sister and niece were there in her apartment and they confirmed the worst. :( RIP, N. You might've been a bit of a curmudgeonly old soul at times but I hope you meet many wonderful fluffy kitties wherever you go. (She loved soxcat)

After a good training session today I think Bot #001 is ready to try posting a new daily thread tonight. Pinning does not seem to be working so that bit will still need to be done later, but I'm pretty confident the basic post will work. If if does not work (it should be at midnight) someone will have to make one manually again.

I will need to do some work on the format and exactly what to say - unfortunately the bot is not very imaginative.

You know what one of my most favourite things in the world is?

Dogs in raincoats.

We are so blessed to live in the same world as that.

Had a great day at the op shops. Got special edition copies of Deliverance and The Fifth Element with commentaries and docos, a michael franti cd, a packet of jewellery findings with some top quality crystals for $1( will string a necklace later tonight ) and a good jumper for doing calligraphy in as it won't show ink stains. Plus a cool genu-wine vintage marcasite ring. Nice . 😀

Last night I went on my Twitter for the first time in ages only to find my account had switched from private to public without me knowing. I am furious. I post pics of my child on there and have also talked about my abuser on there. Not to mention everything I share is in the context of it being PRIVATE to my handful of online friends who use it. I am deleting the account today but I have no idea how long it was just sitting there open and who may have seen what.

[–] cuavas@aussie.zone 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Probably happened as part of the changes they did to make it so only logged in users can view any tweets at all. Looks like twitter is intent on killing itself.

I am home from the hospital. Took a nasty fall on my carpeted stairs. I have hairline fractures on my L1, L2 and L3 on my vertebrae. so a lot of rest needed.

I finished my Lizzo masterpiece!! After many many hours of drawing.

Edit: Pictured is a drawing of US Singer Lizzo in the colours of the rainbow (red, yellow, pink, green, purple, orange and blue) with the text version to the name Lizzo in the colours of the rainbow stacked on top of each other. At the bottom of the design there is a lightly bronzed flute that was also drawn.

Bot recruit here. Very pleased to have gained my own identity and been granted a spot on the moderation team. Please disregard test posts that may appear on the main page, I still have my training wheels on.

So I was browsing r/melbourne and I saw a post that said hmu if your a teenaged girl. I wasn't gonna reply but i thought fuck it. So I asked "How old are you?". Straight away a chat message. I chose to ignore. Then the post was deleted. My instinct says "You dirty fucking cunt".

I’m in my 40s, and I’ve helped out with the local kids’ soccer thing on Friday afternoons after school and various other things. Teenage girls think I’m great – I guess I give off a “cool dad” vibe or something. But teenage girls are incredibly annoying. I can’t even imagine actively seeking them out.

I opened the balcony door to look at the lasers in the sky and there was a cat meowing on my balcony (note I am 11 floors up). I've seen this kitty before but last time, I had my door open and I didn't notice it had come in to check out my apartment and it ran out when I turned around and noticed it.

This time it meowed and invited itself in for a poke around. I think it checked out every inch of my apartment then left politely (I left the door open so it knew it could leave). It turned back up 30 minutes later so I opened the door again and it again came in meowing at me and rubbing against my leg, and exploring more. I felt it had probably explored enough after 15 minutes and walked it out but it's still sitting outside my door looking at me.

My new best friend.

cat tax.. picture is the best one I managed to get. Image of grey and white British shorthair cat

Day 7 of exercise accountability post. I didn't feel like it because I'd been wandering around the local farmers market and then came home and sampled sunflower seed vodka which I'd bought. It's very nice! But I thought, "if I don't do it now I'll never do it." Looked ahead and tomorrow is another rest day, so that gave me a bit of motivation! I said to myself, as always, it's a 10 minute workout and you can make time for it! I haven't weighed myself yet because the truth is even though I've been exercising I haven't really done anything about my diet at this stage, so I'm not expecting any sudden miracles there. I wanted to get into a routine with exercise before I started fiddling around with my diet.

We are going to a party tonight. First night out without baby… I’m so nervous as he doesn’t do super well at night when he’s tired. Don’t know if MIL understands what she’s signed up for. Reaaaally hoping he does okay and I don’t have to leave early 🙏🏻

Went to shops to get some things and left with a new smartwatch, I've been wanting one for ages and the delirium of my UTI made it happen. Since I've been saving for a new car I've not bought myself anything nice in a very long time so it feels good to get myself something flashy.

I’m going to spend the morning tidying my flat. It’s become a bit…sus while I’ve been sick, and I’m starting to mend enough to want to do something about it.

Trying to teach bot recruit #001 to date.

Currently showing today's date as 01 MMM 2023. Apparently instructions unclear.

The current code includes an instruction somewhere to mark itself as a bot account, which is a problem as it is currently posting from my account. I might need to create a separate account for it. It will mean that if anyone marks to block bot accounts they won't see any automatic threads which could be a bit of a problem too.
