I (29F) just got broken up with (42M) via a note page on the table in the condo we’re renting, and he packed all of his belongings and left. He did all of this while I was at work. He won’t talk to me about the relationship but is receptive when I ask about where X or Y item went because it was mine.
Because this happened so unexpectedly, I’ve been cycling through the stages of grief for the last 24 hours. I was wondering what other people have done to mourn the relationship and then move on. I have some important deadlines at work coming up, and now I have to scramble and be out of the condo at the end of the month, on top of, well… This.
Should I journal? Walk 20 miles? Hermit inside my bed? Write a note to him and either send it or burn it? The most helpful thing I’ve felt I’ve done is write a Pros list on why it’s a good thing our relationship is over. But obviously… All of this still hurts.
