Taco Bell is the best by far!
The cheesy bean and rice burritos are great, potato soft tacos too.
Any meat can be substituted for beans making it super vegetarian friendly.

I have issues with dairy now and Taco Bell is the saddest place on earth for me. My wife will always want it and I miss the cheese so much.
I sense a conflict of interests 😁
Nice to see the Fediverse hasn't lost that certain charm
Honestly? Mcdonalds. They're (reasonably) cheap, pretty consistent, and still decent enough that I think "Yeah, I didn't mind spending two bucks on that."
Like it's not the best food ever or anything, but if I ever want a super quick breakfast or kinda crappy burger and don't feel like making one myself, then I just hit up the nearest Mcdonalds.
I'll fight someone who tells me I shouldn't have McDonald's breakfast burritos. I don't eat them because I want a good breakfast burrito, I eat them because I want those specific breakfast burritos.
EXACTLY! Like, man, if I wanted a good breakfast sandwich, I'd make it myself or hit up one of the local places. But I don't want a good one, I want a McDonalds one.
@DocSophie This reminds me of Spacer's choice slogan from Outer Worlds.
"It's not the best choice, it's ~~Spacer's choice~~ McDonalds"
I cant get out of McDonalds for less than 10 bucks, and that’s skipping the drink and using app deals
Between my teens and early 20s, I worked there 3 times. I left on good terms to focus on other areas of life and they were always happy to have me back. I still love McDonalds as a treat! My go-to's are cheeseburgers or Big Mac's.
@DocSophie everything else on McDonald's menu can fuck off, there's nothing like a Big Mac.
Funny way of spelling Quarter Pounder Deluxe with Cheese
Popeyes hands down
Does Pizza Hut count? Because they got me as a kid with those free personal pan pizzas if you read enough books, so I still love them. It doesn’t hurt that there is a Pizza Hut literally across the street from my apartment now.
Last time I went to little Caesars, there was a girl who walked down from the apartment above, grabbed a pizza, and went back up. I would be SO FAT
Arby's. Their reubens are so damn good. Also those limited time burgers they have right now are really good too.
Raising Cane's!!
I turn feral for their chicken.
Bah, literally every chicken finger place is better than Cain's.
Cain's sauce is pretty good, but it needs to be, because the chicken is well prepared but utterly flavorless. It's like if you told a Star Trek replicator to make chicken.
Yeah the chicken is mostly a vehicle for the sauce but the texture and moisture in that chicken is excellent. It is rather bland, though.
Jollibee or Wendy's. Wendys burger just has this underlying flavor that I can't find in the other chains. And Jollibee cause fried chicken
zaxby's. those tenders tossed in tongue torch sauce and then dipped in ranch hits. the fries aren't too bad either.
Fast food's become preposterously expensive, so I basically refuse to partake of anything I can make myself.
As a result, Osmow's. Making my own shawarma is outside my ability, so this is the one place I can see myself regularly visiting. God I love shawarma.
Wawa hoagies. My god do I miss them! I wish there was a Wawa near where I live now.
Go ahead and flame me if you want, but I do like me my taco bell. Chipotle and Moes are obviously better but they’re so damn expensive now. I’m sure when my GI tract shits the bed that opinion will change though.
I love a hard taco supreme! Once every few months, I'll get a craving for it. Authentic tacos are delicious and have their place, but so does a greasy, messy Taco Bell taco.
In-N-Out, hands down. I moved out of California years ago, but whenever I come to visit, In-N-Out is always my first meal.
Have to agree with you, KFC fries are absolutely delicious and their chicken sandwich is one of the best. The only other place that can compete with KFC is Popeyes.
Apparently, KFC is quite bad in the USA but in most of SEA it's delicious.
When properly executed, the Burger King original chicken sandwich (aka the long boy) can be superlative. When you get one with relatively fresh lettuce and the right amount of mayo, and when you bite in it's juicy and salty and a little crispy? It's way better than it has any right to be.
However, it's very hit or miss, and a spicy chicken sandwich from Wendy's is almost always on point.
Not much of a fast food culture over here as there is in the US that I can tell, but I often like some crispy french fries.
I'm not sure where "here" is for you but I've traveled to many countries all over the world and I agree with you. No one does the fast part of fast food like the US. On the flip side though is that every fast food place I've been to outside the US has tasted much better. I remember being blown away at the difference in quality between a tacobell in the States and a tacobell in Spain.
I've recently gone back to Burger King and it seems as though they've improved the quality of their product from a few years ago where eating it would make me sick. Whopper and Onion Rings every once in awhile just absolutely hits the spot
I think Wendy's is always my favorite. They just have more flavor when it comes to burgers and their fries.
McDonald's used to be great burger wise but their nuggets are literally card board flavored.
I live in Canada and I have a real soft spot for Harvey's and A&W. A&W is just a really top-tier burger joint, and Harvey's is a bit like the Subway of burgers (in that they build the burger in front of you with custom ingredients). If I could only eat at one fast food place for the rest of my life, I'd definitely pick Harvey's
well, I had a veggie pattie subway sub with all the salad and tomato sauce and sweet chili sauce, and it was awesome.
My go to fast food as well. Toasted and all the veggies on it.
I just wish every Subway carried rhe veggie patty. It's not available every where.
I’ve never known a subway to not have the veggie patty. That sucks. It’s so good
White Castle - The OG 24 hour fast food burger place. Absolutely great flavor, all day breakfast, cheap and delicious. Plus the outside looks like a little castle s'cute
As a rule I avoid fast food, and most of it I can't stand. Grew up on White Castle though, and I still love it.
McDonnalds is still my go to for cheap and fast. You know what your getting and if your savvy you can get a lot of food for low cost. Breakfast menu is actually my prefered time to eat there
I really like subway, it's about the only place you can get chipotle sauce in the UK. Used to go there every week.
That said, I haven't bought it in about a year. The prices have gone up to the point where I feel like I'm spending insanely irresponsibly if I'm not buying the absolute cheapest food, and Subway is no exception. The stress of knowing I spent far too much on something far outweighs any enjoyment it might provide.
Shelby's Shwarma here in Canada. Hits different than Osmows and is a small enough franchise to actually still give a crap. I think they have a dozen locations in Ontario right now.
I like Wendy's and Subway well enough. I wish there were some decent Canadian options, but unfortunately most Canadian fast food places have gone to shit in the last decades — what's happened to Harvey's since I was a kid is just heartbreaking, and Tim Horton's isn't even Canadian anymore.
A&W is my favorite in Canada. Expensive though, but so is everything including McDonald's these days. McDs isn't too bad. But I the last time I had BK or Tim's were so disappointing I just refuse to eat there at all anymore.
Quesada is pretty good for Mexican, we don't have many Taco Bells around here. I don't know if it counts as fast food though, prices are more in the tier of Thai Express and whatnot.
Not sure they qualify as fast food per se, but I love Firehouse or Jersey Mike's!
Syrian falafel, pad Thai, a good thin Italian crust pizza
Toasted ham cheese and tomato sandwich with a sneaky cup of tea for AUD$6 at the local Ampol roadhouse.
Technically it's not all that fast, but the only fast options in this little town are pies and the like.
