This is a great app that I have been using through the rapid beta. If you were too late to get a beta slot, you can now get it from the App Store. Be sure to give it a great review if you like it!

Should we stop using the testflight version then?

Test Fight has more recent updates but by using the App Store version you can support Memmy by increasing it's placement on charts and by leaving a review.

Wow I’m loving it so far! Although why is the “oled” theme inverse? The table cells are black and the background is grey, that’s awful for legibility. Every other iOS app has black background with grey table cells

Try restarting the app after making the change.

[–] desmosthenes@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

well done; the app is quite smooth and seems to have apollo-overtones - kudos!

I’ve been using wefwef the past week and just installed Memmy today. ww is great, but I’m really enjoying Memmy so far.

Is this app still planning to release on Android at some point?

[–] itscozydownhere@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Just downloaded it, IT'S AWESOME

It's pretty good, I am having a bit of a tough time adding a body to a post, I wish making a text post was as simple as writing a comment!

Feels pretty zippy, nice to have everything in one place.

Is there a place in the app to submit feedback?

Edit: ah it looks like the "back" button is how you save the body of the post, I kept pulling the page down to dismiss the popover and it would erase my body, maybe we change the title from "back" to "save"?

If you go to profile -> settings -> email debug log you can outbound suggestions from the app.

You can also visit the Memmy community to interact with the developer, and other enthusiasts.

Best Lemmy mobile app so far, just need admin and mod features added and I won’t need to open Safari anymore for Lemmy 😆

[–] irishbreakfast@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Amazing! Memmy is great. It just needs some fun alternate icons now!

[–] kemsat@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Do we just keep getting the betas in perpetuity if we got in on the beta?

[–] Alterean@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Got it installed, followed a couple communities. Biggest wish for me is that it showed how many subscribers or whatever that a community has. It’s annoying finding the biggest/most active ones.

[–] richie510@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

No app or site is feature complete right now. I recommend also using wefwef.app and using the site. You can install the site the same way you install wefwef. On your phone, go to landscape with the website to expose all the features and locate ranked communities that way.

So glad it finally got accepted!

[–] Mastersord@lemmy.fmhy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

Now THIS is what we need to see!

Now we have a UX option (and a good one at that!)

[–] chackl@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

It’s actually really good!

[–] Hiru@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Writing this post from Memmy, couldn’t even get to try mlem but this App sure looks promising!

[–] prwnr@programming.dev 2 points 1 year ago

I am really shocked in how good and yet simple this app is. wonderful!

[–] Docus@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Downloading now. Been waiting for an ios app.

Between this and wefwef.app Lemmy has become pretty much a better user experience than Reddit.

The only thing missing is the content. Hopefully with more adoption we see Lemmy grow enough to be able to replace Reddit entirely.

[–] Darus@techhub.social 2 points 1 year ago

@Qiz @richie510 i still miss the simplicity of opening Reddit and switching between subscribed and All and knowing i was seeing the top posts. Lemmy is still a bit confusing with the home/federated/local pages and all the instances. But it's getting there

[–] ChildeRoland@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

How do we know what our “server” is?

[–] richie510@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I’m the Memmy app go to profile. I have my site circled. You can access it from a browser without the “@“.

[–] ChildeRoland@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Ahaha!! Thanks!!

[–] niszogen@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

i just discovered it when looking for native app lol

[–] Ado@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

It’s so damn good!!

[–] Spacecraft@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Wow. I’m seriously impressed with the functionality already in this app. This just made my lemmy browsing so much better.

[–] Aldo@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 1 year ago

Great! I’ve been enjoying the beta and just downloaded the app on the app store.

[–] lurkandtwerk@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Been using this app via test flight for a couple weeks. Really impressed with the pace of development.

[–] Atiran@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

Started using it today. Love it so far. Great work!
