From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

I used OBS, and everything was okay, but after I reinstalled the system and switched from XFCE to KDE Plasma, I encountered an error. I have no idea what changed, except for the desktop environment, and I don't know why I am facing these problems now. OBS freezes my PC and closes every game (I guess?).

You are running nvidia on wayland. If you are fine with not using your nvidia card for recording switch the encoder to h.264.

Honestly I'd recommend going to ~/.config/obs-studio and making a backup of your scenes then deleting the originals. Start up OBS and set things up again.

I've had similar issues when switching between KDE Plasma and sway, if I left the old scenes there OBS would break after switching enviornments. Once I deleted the scenes it would work fine.
