I vaguely recall reading that they expressed support for trans people and now conservatives are boycotting.

Just wondering what exactly they did and why enough people cared so much as to stop buying it.

They paid Dylan Mulvaney (a trans woman) for a sponsored instagram post and sent her a beer can with her face on it. Conservatives got mad because they are giant bigoted babies. That's it.

I saw the pic and i guess i hoped there was more of a story. Conservatives seem to boycott stuff on a whim after an ad... I remember when my old boss stopped buying diet coke after a super bowl commercial (2017) because they supported "illegal immigration". i looked it up afterward and it was a bunch of people singing "america the beautiful" in different languages.

I also thought there was more too the story at first because the response from the right was so insane. But no, it was literally just one instagram post and a single beer can.

This pretty much sums it up perfectly.

AFAIK, they promoted beer by asking a transgender influencer to promote it. Conservatives didn't like it. Bud Light didn't like that, so they stopped expressing support for trans people, which in turn pissed off progressives. So now everyone hates them, cos if you buy their beer you risk political convos etc
