Also, I think we all should acknowledge this is Dullsters. ITT it's violence all up and down. Come on, team.

Have you considered those plain foam earplugs? Now you can get 'em at super isolating ratings. If you're in The States, give Alpine earplugs a check. Comes with a variety of noise-block interchangeable/swappable inner filters, and not for much scratch.

Noise can definitely be a nuisance, but think about what you can do for your first lines of defense. Don't go on the offense.

Jackson was her maiden name.

Cleaned the strings. Busted out the lemon oil and a microfiber cloth. Fretboard is rosewood. Been at least a year since I've oiled her up. Look at her now.

Question now is: how often should I do this again? She's kept indoors, IDK how humid/vochtig it is in the building (no hygrometer here, gotta an old-timey thermostat).

Valerie's still gorgeous.

Would you believe I've been getting ripped off all these years?! I feel so opbeaniated over this revelation! We should start a coffee revolution!

And your mug of dark brown water cannot be worse than what I drank as a sailor. "They say that in the org here the coffie's mighty-fine! Looks like muddy water, tastes like terpentine!"

"Today a young Lemming on acid realized that all coffee is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the Weather."

I paraphrase, R.I.P. Bill Hicks

Do you take your coffee seriously? Me, I'm a fanatic.

I started off with a Mr. DRIPSALOTTADRIP pre-college days. We'll skip the wild college years. And the first marriage. Then, having learned about cooking beans, humidity levels at harvest time, how much sweat/tears went into the early stages of the product (Fair Trade and such), I arrived at an Italian Lamborgenie, Contouth model where your rear window (water reservoir) is... shit, where's the window?

I had proper coffee now. This was the cobblestone kinderkuppa I stood on.

Track forward the next 12 years, black pearls of wisdom, more Genies and Pressure Cookers from Italy and The Netherlands, and you will have arrived at my most aromatic, captivating cuppa feeh I've ever created. The acidity- mwah! Tasting notes- I'd say Earthy and with a hint of calcium.

Look away, faint-of-hearts, and you lot of scumsipping teabaggers, THIS - IS - COFFEE and you bet your bottom pocket lint you can't duplicate or mass produce it for consumerism.

Needs a name for my coffee manifesto. Rage Against the Grinding? Spill it, my fellow coffee deviants and aficionados. Name it.

Aye, is why I joined a boat club, and some of the smelliest, bearded and weird ones sure did love saying, "aye aye" to falling with style into the deep... The rest of us either "aye'd" to stay afloat, or like me... I'd ayed to stay aground. *long sigh" aye, I was a sailor once. I've pitterpattered over many a medium, but the cobblestone kinderkopjes got to me. The Belgians got it wrong again. They're "children's cups". Setts? Sounds choppy to my oars.

I walk the same path to/fro the park. I'd like to think that I don't have a habit of shuffling or not raising my feet high enough for the next step. Or so I thought.

For you see, my fellow Lemmings, today was fraught with a danger undulating through the stone. "LOLseas is coming, lol, do it, now!"

The paver jumped up at least 3cm just in time for my boot to connect. I tripped, but didn't fall. Onlookers quickly looked away as I let out a sad, but lengthy sigh. I know the nearest dog must've heard me.

The rest of the cobblestone path was a cakewalk.

sudo snap remove gutenprint-printer-app

Then

sudo apt purge snapd

Sorry I couldn't be the fixer here. No disrespect meant, just trying to help. LOLseas

Hey. I'm sincere when I say this: I think we sometimes get into the unfortunate habit of gloomscrolling, just incessant negative news- that when we stumble into another community, we go in a bit "on-edge". Please don't think they're out to harm you. I've gotten upset by TheOnion more than my fair share of times. Also, toast rocks.

I cleaned the innards of my sole electric guitar distortion pedal. First time ever, bought the thing in the early 2000s. Wild seeing spiderwebs inside it, and no spiders.

I apologize for the non-OC photo, but my phone camera app kept crashing. Tomorrow's another day.

Hi all, first post.

I moved to The Netherlands a few years ago, and am wanting to prepare for a career change from helpdesk to cyber security. I'm also doing a Dutch language course 1 day every week, ik moet het leren.

Long ago, I held a CompTIA A+ cert. I don't have any at this point. Not strong on networking or programming skills, either.

Got any good suggestions on getting into the field in 2026? I'm a GNU/Debian guy, and have free time to study. Any good meetups in The Netherlands to seek mentorship or sharing of knowledge? Hoping some Dutchies and Duitsers can chime in.

Goal is to become a CISO but if I don't make it that far, I'll still land amongst the stars.

Alvast bedankt! Thanks in advance! -LOLseas
