I think of Guild Wars 2 as an intersection between the two. I basically play it as a single player game. The only social content I engage in is open world group events, and then I go back to being a loaner when they're over.

I'm hoping Guild Wars 3 uses the same formula.

I am not saying EV's aren't important, I'm saying that there are huge economic barriers between the people who would benefit the most from EV's and actually owning one.
