I actually just read book 1 of Murderbot — I liked it and will read more. I liked the ending. John Scalzi has been on my list. I read Foundation and liked it — I def want to read more books in that series as well. Of the others you mentioned, which would you recommend the most?

I think the intro to the universe is interesting — I especially love how they introduce the main character. It definitely makes me want to read more

I recently read Dune Messiah and want to read the rest of the series. I started Children of Dune but paused to start the culture series.

What series of books do you like that you’ve finished?

I’m currently reading Consider Plhebas and am almost done! I am liking it and am excited for more in the series — no doubt there will be Damage in The Player of Games

What sustenance nourishes the soul? All learnings? Would you not say pleasure/joy nourishes the soul as well even if nothing new is learned?

Where do you think your regret would come from?

I’ve only read the first book - I am interested in the larger universe - but they’ll obviously have to get out of the dungeon first. We’ll see!

I just started Carl’s Doomsday Scenario! Book 2 of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series which seems to be extremely popular given all the comments in this thread about the book series!

It is light hearted and fun which I think is needed.

I just finished book 1. While I didn’t find it hilarious, I am interested in the overall message of the series that I feel like is going to be a slow burn. Overall looking forward to reading more as the series is light hearted.

I need to start reading Red Rising again! I stopped at some point in the third book, but really loved that series as well.
