I tried finding the same thing recently. The best I have found is a device running legion OS. It has critics about bit being perfect, but comparatively it's a lot more privacy focused.

My current solution is also a mini pc behind the TV. Set up a script to shut down the computer after x minutes and use the TV timer when I'm watching too late. It works but it's cumbersome.

There is a version by Fuller that my wife and I love. She can't get into the original as much, but it triggers instant nostalgia for me.

I liked the new UI version more than the old one. Having to click into things and back out again was pretty annoying. I'm finding blorp.lemmy.zip to be amazing, especially with the "hide read posts from feeds" turned on. Its different enough while still providing a very familiar feel.

You arent wrong. The grass looks greener on the other side, always. I've been in a similar boat on the other side of the fence. Sitting a desk job, not a bad job, but it wasnt rewarding or fulfilling in a long time.

I am finding the issue isnt the job, or where you work, since there are goijg to be bad coworkers and managers everywhere you go. Working hard just isnt rewarding anymore. Doing just as much or more work for less food on the table, less housing to grown into, and entertainment and hibbies filled with scalpers or overpriced equipment. Life just doesn't hit like it did neforbefore, compared to a few years ago. Everything feels like a struggle, something is broken.

There are so many reasons to dislike the mormon church. How food/money donations come with stipulations of conversion or how their leadership turning blind eyes to accusations of sexual assult. Not worth watching unless you are semi curious about what Mormons are taught, which this barely scratches the surface of.
