I think this is neat! I happen to have stumbled upon Carolyna Eyck when looking for spooky background music for a tabletop rpg, and she is really impressive! I have no direct experience, but I think it has a distinctive sound and enjoy learning about it.

I believe "Legend of Dragoon" had a setup like this. I think it was a PS1 game with very SNES era jrpg conventions
