Most early disc consoles had nonstandard discs in some way. Even if they are readable with a standard drive I doubt MS will support it. (They've surprised me with this announcement though, so who knows)

Not sure if you've seen but Gears 2 got some sort of recomp/port about a week ago. I haven't had a chance to play it too much yet but the tutorial with Carmine worked without a hitch. https://www.moddb.com/mods/gears-of-war-2-hollow

You can't change the vdev type/layout of a drive without wiping all data stored on it. The one exception is adding a drive to a RAIDZ1, which is allowed but has some annoying repurcussions. I'm not sure if the TrueNAS interface will let you create a vdev that is missing drives, but you probably can using zfs commands and I'd expect TrueNAS to accept it like any other vdev once mounted.

In any case, you should really have a separate backup which can serve as your second copy.

$1050 for 512gb no controller

Cool, I've been wanting to give the older hitmans another chance after loving WOA. I couldn't really get past the controls when I tried them but this must be adding controller support for consoles.

Probably the same as on a Linux desktop now, the browser sites work fine but you won't get 4k or HDR.

I usually check the length of each episode with the disc open in VLC and find the title with a matching length in MakeMKV, so I can set the names before extracting. Jellyfin supports naming episode files 'S01E01 Episode Name' which makes it easy to track what the file really is in case the db ordering turns out to be different. For nonserialized shows where order mismatches are likely I'll check with TVDB as I'm going through the episodes on the disc.

I'm a fan of inclusive min, exclusive max for rng. It behaves consistently with decimal numbers in a readable way, for example int(0,100) can return 100 different integers. x<0 has a 0% chance of happening, x<50 is 50%, x<100 is 100%. If you swap with dec(0,100) you could now get 99.999 but x<50 is still exactly 50%

I do agree with amio on consistency and making sure each method added is worth the abstraction.

So it is worth letting the bad things happen now because they probably would have happened anyway a decade from now? And winning an election against the republicans would have convinced democrats to adopt the republican mindset, which won't happen after that mindset is proven to win elections?

I can name a few vulnerable minorities that have been abandoned by people who allowed republicans to take power, can you name any the democrats abandoned?

"Don't vote until they learn how important we are" is how you join the third+ of the country that doesn't vote and is therefore ignored by politicians.

I don't think people are saying you personally are a bot, but you're falling for narratives pushed by bots. By allowing republicans to win this past election, infinitely more harm has been caused than even most people's worst predictions and absolutely zero harm has been prevented. USAID is gone which will lead to millions of deaths abroad, crackpots like RFK Jr have been legitimized causing deaths to diseases which were effectively eliminated, disaster relief is being denied to blue states, and of course Israel has more freedom than ever before to do whatever they want to the Palestinian people.

Has any harm been reduced by allowing the republican party to have power? Can you acknowledge the harm that has already been caused by allowing them to have power?

If this does mean WINEDLLOVERRIDES won't be needed I'll be very happy, it's been very fiddly trying to get optiscaler working.
