Atom cores?

Aren't those called "efficiency cores" nowadays? The ones that are actually less efficient, run at lower clocks and don't support AVX and Hyper threading?

No. According to the article, at least, this technology is not best suited for that kind of chips.

They've been around for ~150k years. That's plenty for trial and error.

If the masses recognize the ceremony, then it's fair play.

recline is much more than a cli utility. If you run rclone as a daemon (I use the "serve S3" comand to encrypt my backups before sending them to the cloud), it's nice to have some sort of dashboard where you can monitor what's going on.

You still need computers to reach the cloud. And even something low power is enough to replace most cloud services.

All we need is the right to sideload and jailbreak. Which were once called owning a computer.

Some arguments I heard when we switched 15y ago:

• without euro you can print money to devaluate your own currency to devaluate your debt at the expense of people's savings and rampant inflation. Frankly I'm happy politicians lost the ability to do that.
• sellers may take the opportunity to bump up all their prices, which was actually true in my country. Of course the blame is on the sellers, not the currency.
• cultural and historic identity associated with the currency

I don't really understand the comments. If the fuel taxes work just like here in Italy, because the tax is a percentage of the final price, when the petrol price goes up, the government basically takes extra money... during a crisis.

Capping the tax is a sensible move so at the pump you only pay for the increase in fuel price, and you keep paying roughly the same amount of taxes.

I am wrong? Of course you also should incentives electric cars, but switch to electric is a longer process that responding to a crisis.

EDIT: I didn't know fuel taxes are a fixed amount in Germany. Now I understand the other comments. Thank you for explaining.
