What's crazy is that he could just have asked for volunteers and add a pay raise alongside agreement in participating in that crap and I'm sure half the company would be doing it willingly. Instead he just pissed off everyone and will likely get data poisoning from maliciously compliant employees, and lose highly skilled employees.

You should take a look at Benjamin, Horkheimer and Adorno and the other members of the School of Frankfurt. They did a lot of thinking in the 40s-50s around mass media, the advances of technology and the regressions of our societies because of it.

I don't recall the exact book but one of them advanced a theory that basically said what you're suggesting. That technology now advances faster than humans' ability to spiritually receive, understand and integrate it. So instead of mastering it, we're being enslaved by it.

So at which point do we start cutting balls and refreshing necks again?

I feel like creating an entire system dedicated to mass-murdering people industrially because of their origins or convictions is still the worst thing we've done as a species. Slavery is in the top spots, for sure, but it's not "let's create an industry solely dedicated to murder a specific ethnic group in the most efficient way possible" levels of crime against humanity.

Like, it has no economic benefits, it's not for personal gain, it's not because of lust or any human impulses, there is no reason to it apart from "let's eradicate a part of humanity just because I said so".

Well you don't need intelligence reports. The religious leaders of a religion of 150~200 million believers just declared a jihad against the US and Israel to avenge their equivalent of the Pope that is considered to have died in martyr. Even if only 0.01% of them are religious fanatics, you still have at least 15000 people convinced they'll go to heaven if they die in terror attacks against US or Israeli citizens.

Even if they stop raping children, the fact that there still are billionaires at all is a plague on our societies. They stole that money from productive actors in the society and freeze it or burn it for their fancies, which are usually either very inefficient or detrimental to us.

Guillotine them all, take back what's ours and start improving our standards of living, or saving the planet, or ending world hunger, or...

Sending courage from France, keep protesting! The police does that at most protests since the Yellow Vests here thanks to Macron.

Take saline solution droppers to clean your eyes and scarfs or something of the sort to protect yourself. Avoid sending the grenades back with your hands and feet, a lot of people have lost limbs here because of that. Use an object to push them if need be.

Hello everyone!

I'm working on a sci-fi grand strategy game named Uncharted Sectors and I'm trying to get feedback on the capsule art.

A good capsule art should convey the game's genre in addition to, of course, make people want to click on it. My problem is that "grand strategy" doesn't have clear visual markers (like a hammer for crafting games for example) apart from having 1-5 bossy-looking people and a somewhat elegant title. So I have some trouble finding the sweet spot.

Could I ask you which one you feel conveys "grand strategy" the most? On which you'd be more likely to click on seeing it on Steam or another platform? Which one do you prefer? If you have improvement ideas, or other feedback?

And it's loads of fun!

I'm playing it with my son nowadays, we love it :) it's not very deep but it's a nice lighthearted strategy game.
