When the tech was new I was really hopeful for something that could act as an interactive research and literature library. Conceptually a machine that generates responses based on an overview of a field of science or history that it's specialized for could have been pretty useful to people.
But no, I can't make sex talk with that or use it to generate porn images of people I know so guess we'd better hook it up to social media and make it run on engagement. Nothing is economically useful unless it's fleecing the mentally ill
I liked that they had reactivity to your decisions to fight them. and I liked the way they reflected the characters from their respective story, being assholes who will dupe pinocchio but actually nice if you treat them with kindness anyway. overall very minor roles in the story but I thought they were good additions
