Your post is deeply unserious to the point of seeming like bait, homie

If you're unfamiliar with this group, here's the deal: Secret Chiefs 3 is a big group/band that decided to make a bunch of sub-bands for the different kinds of music they want to make. Their surfy/jammy sub-band is called UR, and this single is called Telstar.

Secret Chiefs 3 is also UR, and UR is also Secret Chiefs 3. It took me years to learn this.

I really hate that man.

Making this video was deeply personal for me. I've moved over 30 times in my life; over a dozen of those moves were before the age of 18.

For the last three years, my wife and I have been in limbo after getting priced out of our home. We're living in one rented room; our whole life is crammed in a 10x10 box with no real end in sight. Tens of millions of people in America have it way, way, worse than me.

But we can end this!

I'm trying very, VERY hard to pound the correct knowledge into my brain to be able to switch my freelance business services away from Google to something like Proton Unlimited.

Leaving the Google ecosystem will literally make me lose work, but man, this shit has gotta stop

... I literally used this for the first time today. Sorry everyone!

Way ahead of you, AI, I'm broke

Just followed! I've mostly switched over to this from Boost and Sync in the last couple days; you're doing really great work!

I have a small, totally unsolicited idea/piece of feedback (please feel free to utterly disregard it):

The logo and the name are both really cute, but they don't immediately make me think of Lemmy. I've had a few moments in the last two days where I've blanked on the name of the app while looking for it in my app drawer, which might just be my memory fritzing out. But here's my thought: the UI design in-app is really lovely in a kind of wintry way, and kind of makes me think of an arctic tundra, which is where Lemmings are typically found.

Tundra would be an absolutely killer name for this app, as it would evoke a place for Lemmings, and it would fit the kind of lunar/cold theme you've already got going.

I realize this suggestion could easily feel very presumptuous, or even unwelcome, so please forgive me if that's the case. Just a thought! Regardless, this has quickly become my preferred app, so I'll definitely keep using and supporting 🖖

That worked like a charm, thanks!

Two good ideas in one thread? Fuckin nuts!

I have an MSI MAG x870e Tomahawk WiFi mobo, and the temperature LED is just, like, SO bright.

I don't see an obvious way of changing its brightness or turning it off in the BIOS, so I'm thinking of cutting a 1"x0.5" rectangle of ND-8 photo gel and electrical taping it to the light.

Anyone know of a better way?

This is so fucking awful

I produced this video for The Gravel Institute a few years back before the organization folded.

It’s popped off again recently for some reason. Maybe because everything has gotten worse?

Following the shutdown of lemm.ee, we’re now live on lemmy.zip.

SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT

When making a post, please format your submission like so:

MainArtistName - TrackTitle [genre/genres] (year of release)

That formatting should read like this:

Haddaway - What is Love? [dance/electronic] (1993)

This makes it easier for people to identify the track, and see if it's even in their realm of interest before listening.
