While you have a right, I don't agree with your statement. It is literally written at the front of most chatbots that they they can make mistakes and are for entertainment purposes only, but people still go and off themselves or spiral into psychotic episodes.

So something needs to be done obviously and it is not the age verification that they are trying to push.

When I started 3 years ago I was distrohopping almost every week... For gaming on Nvidia+Intel combo - arch Linux distros with kde is where I found peace... Started with endeavouros and now I use cachyos with kde plasma. Both are quite good. I have installed limine+ Snapper and this does system snapshot on each update. Never needed it though and every time I am updating irresponsibly. Gl, install any Linux.

"Anyone managed to get around this?"

The hardest part is to start...

I agree with you that niche is not the correct word here, but comparing the market share to console and mobile we are like 20-25% of the gamers. That is relatively small in my opinion.

Yes, but think about the money in mobile and console gaming.... PC gaming was niche even before that and we represent very small percentage of the overall gaming industry. Nobody gives a fuck about us since some time already. Now they just show it to us in daylight.

Do you think they care about the environment? They will just extract the water and dump the salt back in the environment killing and displacing most creatures and plants from there.... Rich people (some exceptions maybe*) don't care about other people or the environment.

Nah... Worms need to eat too...

Don't you worry, they will make a hard cap for you and me, but politicians, billionaires, CEO, etc. will be excluded from that... People just need to watch all the anti-humans participating and speaking at the World economic forum, which is unofficial world changing platform that nobody had elected to do so, just because they are rich and powerful. Those anti-humans need to be separated from their heads.

Ban it .. there is a place and time for machine learning, but it's not art in any shape or form!

I think we are too far gone... If you can't do it with all the free weapons you have on hand, how do you think it's going to work in Europe? America and the rest of the world is equally screwed. Maybe some 3rd world countries will be fine as they have greater issues than "some" privacy concerns:)

I was also thinking the same, but they don't really need to enforce it proactively. By making it "illegal", they can just pick up people they don't like and force them to unlock it. If they don't - believe it or not, straight to jail. Basically what is happening now in many countries, but legal.

Hi all, I am not sure if I have changed something or an update broke it but last image I saved on the 19.06.2025 was working and I tried yesterday and it's not downloading the images. It says downloading and then it goes back to the top of my feed, and the image is not downloaded.

Android Pixel 8 up to date BP1A.250505.005.B1

Thanks for any help on how to fix that.

Edit: going to settings > data and storage > configure download > enable community folders, has fixed the issue for me... I assume it has to do with the download folder so maybe renaming the boost folder in downloads may fix the issue as well, but I have not tried it. Maybe something to do with permissions of that folder.

Edit 2: turning off community folders returned the issue. Renaming the folder "Boost" under Pictures on the device, forced the application to create a new folder and the issue was solved.

Edit 3: renaming the boost folder stopped working and now the application crashes again... Back to community folders to see how long that will last.
