Premieres sometime in 2025. Check out the ANN article for additional information. Synopsis from AniList:

If it looks like a dog and acts like a dog and insists it's a dog, it's...a dog? Probably? She adopted it anyway, and her life with this "dog" will never be boring!

What is the last anime you watched over 100 episodes? (Or the longest you've watched if none qualify?)

In case folks are curious, I'm asking because I just got halfway through watching Tsurikichi Sanpei (109 episodes) and it got me thinking.

Yawara! ended up becoming my favorite series of all time (I have cell art from it and everything) and it had a whopping 124 episodes and two films! I think that's the latest one I've finished.

Though Attack No. 1 (104 episodes), all of Dragon Ball & Super, Yu Yu Hakusho, and My Hero Academia as well hit those big marks.

How about y'all Lemmy friends?

This question straddles all three of anime, manga, and light novels, so I figured I'd just drop it in the anime community first. Though if it doesn't belong here, feel free to delete it and I'll go somewhere else.

====

I've only been watching anime for a few years. This year, I've started reading manga and LN of some anime I've seen. There are a few titles where I feel like the anime adaptation was just as good and there are some where I feel like it was better. Fortunately, I haven't encountered any cases where I think the anime completely dropped the ball, but I know there probably are some like that.

What are some titles that have huge disparities in quality between its anime adaptation and the source?

in my attempt to satiate my desire to keep the series alive in my heart after binging the og episodes 1-50 and hitting postanime depression..

I made the mistake of watching Pocketful of Rainbows

and holy hell is it bad:

18mins in and you can easily tell Bones skimped out on the animation budget and the story is incredibly weak

seeing all the characters I adore being reanimated but at what cost

right now it feels as if I'm watching my cherished members become zombies; husks of their former selves

23mins in
why
someone looked at this storyboard and thought yup, good to go

this is pure cringe, they turned E7 a series with so much depth and thoughtful meaning behind many elements blended into the themes, characters, hidden plot points into a Shonen hype series that falls so flat that you couldn't fool yourself into thinking that they could stick the landing let alone standing upright

I'm going to bed and I'll rethink about whether I should finish this or not

A little off topic, but the whole Japanese "utsukushii" and/or "kawaii" aesthetic... Where does it come from?

Descriptions of "utsukushi" things and moments in "The Pillow Book" from the Heian period goes back to the year 1002.

cross-posted from: https://programming.dev/post/18277940

I just finished rewatching Eureka Seven (1-50) again and I forgot just how much I treasure it

As emotionally destroyed as I am, please if you have the time, consider watching the best anime that was ever made and let me know how you felt about it and what your thoughts are

I can't express in words just how devastated I am knowing that it's over and the hole in my body can't be filled no matter what I do

I love Eureka Seven
