I think it's a neat mix of novelty and practicality that a lot of people are unaware of.

I use a TI-83 Plus and ripped my ROM using TiLP and now use TilEM on my Linux machine and Graph89 (available on F-Droid) on my Android device. The hardest part was getting a hold of a TI Graph Link cable.

Setup generally depends on your calculator and which device you wish to emulate it on (Linux, Windows, MacOS, or Android).

What's new:

  • Preliminary Namco System 256 support.

  • Added drive and drum support for select Namco System 246/256 games.

  • Compatibility improvements: Shadow Tower Abyss improved its status, other hanging games were fixed.

  • Some minor optimizations.

  • Android: Added Korean translation and other localization updates

I am thinking of finally having Taiko no Tastujin 7-14 emulation! What do you think about this update?

I am looking for an app that can emulate another android device.

A few years ago I used vmos but:

  • it looks really sketchy
  • it requires an account
  • quick online search tells me some features are locked behind a paywall

I looked for alternatives but they all seem pretty sketchy and I will propably login with a Google account so idk.

My requirements are:

  • At least Android Nougat (7.0+)
  • GMS
  • pass the Google security checks (I think it was called safetynet at some point
  • not to slow as I want to play a game

The reason I need this is that I want to use a modified version of a game next to the original version.

I hope someone has a suggestion for me, Thanks in advance.

I've been using MAME for years, but I only tried using it for software list titles today. It isn't working and I'm beyond frustrated right now. This is what I've done, does anyone see what I've done wrong?

  1. Software list roms are in their own directory which is correctly added to rompath in mame.ini. The structure is /home/xkoe/Remote/Mame/sl//.zip.
  2. I have the software list datfiles in /home/xkoe/Games/Mame/.mame/hash/.xml.
  3. I tried auditing everything via the mame ui.

I guess that's it. My roms (main and software list) are fully up-to-date, as is MAME itself as well as the datfiles. The datfiles are for the correct set (merged). If I attempt to open a rom (mame - ) MAME closes with a segmentation fault. If I remove the path to the hash directory in mame.ini it doesn't find the rom. If I give the complete filepath instead of just the romfile it opens and runs perfectly.

I'm prepared to have this be something stupid like a typo somewhere in my ini file, but so far I haven't found anything. If anyone has any thoughts please let me know!

Hey there, I've been using Bluestacks as my main android emulator for a while, but I disliked how bloated it is, especially that their cloud service app comes preinstalled.

Im wondering if there are other android emulators that are good to use. I've already heard about emulators such as:

I haven't actually tried most of these myself yet since I don't quite trust them. They are quite sketchy and heavily advertised

Interesting video from a lawyer, explaining the whole drama between Nintendo, Dolphin and Valve. It explains a lot of the current legal precedent really well, as well as how Nintendo and their lawyers crafted the cease and desist letter to Valve.
