Do you guys have any insulation between your bathroom and bedroom?

My bedroom is against the back side of the shower and I would think it common practice to stick some batts in and around the plumbing in internal walls to muffle the noise, but nope. Loud as fuck.

If you're getting a place built, definitely ask your builder or just do it yourself one night before the gibbies come through.

It's kind of atrocious. And yes I know internal walls don't require insulation, but in this case (around pipes and plumbing fixtures. it's one of those things that should be practiced more

If you're a builder, I see this as a little extra to offer prospective clients cos it seems nobody thinks about this.

Called Lifeline tonight in a bit of a state feeling very low and overwhelmed by life and in a lot of emotional pain. Had been putting it off for days cos of anxiety but finally did it tonight.

The guy on the phone was so lovely (with a gorgeous British accent might I add) and gave me some really good advice and support.

I know helplines haven’t always been the best for some people but for a sad girl at 4am in a state who recently relapsed with self harm and is surrounded by a toxic unhealthy living environment…to know that somebody was listening as I cried on the phone tonight makes my soul a bit lighter.

My soul is definitely a little bit less heavy right now - thank you for to that lovely guy for reassuring me that I am not a bad person. 🖤🖤🖤

Tomorrow is a new day - I’m going to try control what I can control and realise I am capable in so many more ways than I think.

I don't have any issues with my apprentice. I know some of them are hopeless and can't keep off their phones , But we need to keep the trades going with new blood so we can grow as a country and keep the building going. Also need to train keen adults in the trades so there is life experience and the correct support.

The real issue why young people aren't staying in the trade is is that the older guys are playing pranks on them and they don't like it.

CB if you're out there. Thanks for all ur help.

I would also to hear everyone else's thoughts on this subject.

In summary, this was an independent investigation into the state of the NHS, with the report published last week.

It concludes that over a decade of austerity and government imposed "deficits" in health spending through underfunding has led to deteriorating health outcomes compared to other nations, crumbling infrastructure, reduced productivity, ballooning waitlists for hospital and GP care, and spiraling staff morale and workforce shortages.

Hospitals and community services were made to search desperately for "savings" to plug gaps caused by "unrealistically low" government spending (spun as health service deficits or overspends by the UK conservative government). The result has been a serious decline in the public healthcare system.

Some of this may sound eerily familiar. One would hope that a government interested in following the evidence might pay attention to this and reconsider some recent policy decisions, but somehow I have my doubts.
