I primarily want to play GBA, GBC and DS. Is a DS of some sort the best option? I assume if I gave up DS, a PowKiddy V10 is the current recommendation, maybe a MM+ or RG35XX SP if I could deal with the scaling or black bars. What would you choose?

OnePlus Tab 2 with Snapdragon 8 gen3 working really well with Switch games. Super good for stationary gaming.

PSP-3000

I've recently bought a Miyoo Mini Plus and I totally LOVE it!!

It's an amazing piece of hardware. My sweet spot are PS2 and PSP games though.

I also own an original PSP, but that already has some cracks and scratches here and there, along with battery and charging issues.

Is there any modern non-Android handheld device / retro console, capable of reliably emulating PS2 or at least PSP games? From the recent devices, the Anbernic RG35XXSP looks quite promising.

It’s undoubtedly faster but also bulkier than the a30 or 28xx devices. Mario 64 is absolutely buttery smooth. The software is better than I expected but it’s not great. It’s an Emulation Station based OS but it has most of the good stuff stripped out. Build quality seems surprisingly good and as nice and powerful as this is for a small 2.8” device, it just may catch on and get decent CFW support. Overall I’m legitimately blown away somebody attacked Anbernic in the same form factor and price and legitimately made a straight up better device. I ordered a 2nd one for my girlftiend’s daughters after only about 30 minutes with it.
