I see a thousand people protested in Barcelona, public money spent on the rich arrogant pr1cks who are quite capable of funding their own big toy racing, was too much for the good people of Barcelona to tolerate.

We saw enough of their arrogance in Chch when the sail gp came to town. Lets be honest it only because NZ wins that anyone gives Two sh1ts about it. The whole thing is pretty abhorrent when you look at the vast sums spent on what is essentially billionaires playing with their toys.

Hopefully no more public money will be used on this, in this economic environment it is just an insult to tax payers.

I work at MBIE and although it's not my team, my colleagues just found out today that the Small Business Services unit is to be axed, and most jobs will be disestablished. My colleagues are gutted, to say the least.

Me, I just don't get it. 97% of New Zealand businesses are small business. And the reason our deficit is growing is because our income is being outstripped by our expenses. One of the groups within SBS is Digital Boost which has trained over 55,000 small businesses on how to get online / improve their online presence and how to digitally market themselves. Their next cab off the rank was going to be helping SMEs harness the power of AI to become more productive as business adoption of AI in NZ is lagging behind many other OECD countries. So that's now gone ... The business.govt.nz newsletter is also in jeopardy and that was a good disseminator of important business information.

Surely such investment in NZ's small business growth is important to help boost New Zealand's income to offset our increasing expenditure? It shouldn't all just be cuts to balance the books.

Also, didn't this coalition promise that only back-office jobs were going to be axed? I wouldn't class many of the upset and shocked people today as having back-office roles.

Edit: OK I probably shouldn’t have mentioned AI, it was just one of the many topics the DB team were going to provide training on (I thought it was cool, but I guess AI is still very divisive) … The gist of what I wanted to say is that for a government that claims to be so pro-business, not supporting the backbone of our economy (small business) with the types of initiatives that arguably help them grow seems very wrong to me.

How do you kindly tell people that I don't ever want to have children?

For whatever reason, every person around me believes that children are my next agenda while I'm still young (26).

I don't want to be a father, never wanted to be one. I'm considering getting a vasectomy and it makes me laugh when people try warming up to me about 'when you have kids you'll...'

When I tell people I'm not interested in having children, they act like it's blasphemous. Maybe it's because we're so 'family orientated' in NZ.

So, any advice on how to come clean kindly about not wanting kids?

You'd think it would be sobering for the coalition to read that, but they of course will be intent on continuing to blame the previous government.

40% said it was better off with ACT voters most likely to say it was better off. Go figure.

How difficult would it be for the government to create a greenhouse industry to supply kiwis with cheap vegetables? Diabetes affects more than 300,000 people in New Zealand. Diabetes carries a massive health care cost estimated to be over $2 BILLION in this country alone. Cookies cost less than vegetables do. Is it not logical to make vegetables cheap as a strategy to reduce the burden of diabetes or at least combat its growth?

Who’s the kiwi you know that is famous? How do you know them?

Did you go to school with Lorde? Did your dad use to drink with Jesse Ryder at the pub? Did you meet Clark Gayford one night in town while he was DJing?

What’s your connection to a NZ celeb?
