A ripper of a final race. These guys are unbelievably cool and classy. Such an epic victory.

This is an interesting look back at the iconic/ controversial NZ architects Warren and Mahoney (if you are into this sort of stuff).

It centers around the building and subsequent rebuild of the Christchurch Town Hall.

Original Title: Dick move Woolworths. The unit price of the small bag of peanuts is $1.05 per 100g. The large bag of identical product is $1.25 per 100g. Guess which one they marked “Low price”. (Hint: it’s not the one with the lower price).

Just saw a picture that took me back. We used to play this game using 2 x 4 squares where you would throw a soccer ball over arm into the opposite squares and one of the other team would have to catch it and then throw it back. I don't recall any other schools playing it? Talking 80s here

Why is OneNZ (a terrible rebrand by the way) so insistent on pushing the ad campaign with the Maori guy who has found his biological parents?

It's not an enduring ad campaign, it's not fun or interesting to follow, and the characters are unlikeable.

I was looking to change phone providers recently and I actively decided to avoid OneNZ (lame rebrand by the way) just because of how annoying these ads are.

I hope someone from OneNZ's (shitty rebrand by the way) marketing department sees this rant and passes on how bad their ads are.

Bit of a backstory. 22 year old female I know from work moved into my house almost a year ago now. Nice girl, pretty quiet, doesn’t really go out much or have many friends so she’s always home but very drama free haven’t had an issue with her since she moved in.

When she moved in the only real “rule” I had was that if she was out meeting guys, or using tinder, bumble etc is that she doesn’t bring random guys over to the house on the nights I have my 6 year old son (which is two nights a week which change up as I work shift work)

Anyway as I said she doesn’t really do a lot socially and doesn’t use the apps. She decided last week to maybe give the online thing a try which I definitely said was worth a try it’s not all bad. She met a guy yesterday afternoon, came home happy as Larry which was cool to see then said he was coming over next Wednesday night

Problem is I have my son Tuesday, Wednesday next week. When I brought this up she asked if I could just take him away for the night (it’s not school holidays anymore….) and then it was “he is really nice, I would never bring someone over I don’t trust” This a guy she has known for 3 hours now.

Am I overreacting here? I didn’t ask if he has his own house, I didn’t even bring up that there is five nights a week where this house is kid free and I don’t care who you bring over for the night. But when he’s here, sleeping with his door open because he’s still scared of the dark I don’t feel comfortable with someone neither of us know potentially just being able to stroll through the house when we are both asleep.

Thoughts?

Edit: There is a pattern to having my son btw. If I have him Tuesday, Wednesday this week, the following will be Wednesday, Thursday and then so on.

Whittakers is by far the best brand we have but their chocolate flavour varieties are lacking at the moment. What should they produce next?

Had my husband's 65th birthday present refunded today as tomorrow's concert has been canceled but would like to know the gossip as reparation.
