Bit of a backstory. 22 year old female I know from work moved into my house almost a year ago now. Nice girl, pretty quiet, doesn’t really go out much or have many friends so she’s always home but very drama free haven’t had an issue with her since she moved in.

When she moved in the only real “rule” I had was that if she was out meeting guys, or using tinder, bumble etc is that she doesn’t bring random guys over to the house on the nights I have my 6 year old son (which is two nights a week which change up as I work shift work)

Anyway as I said she doesn’t really do a lot socially and doesn’t use the apps. She decided last week to maybe give the online thing a try which I definitely said was worth a try it’s not all bad. She met a guy yesterday afternoon, came home happy as Larry which was cool to see then said he was coming over next Wednesday night

Problem is I have my son Tuesday, Wednesday next week. When I brought this up she asked if I could just take him away for the night (it’s not school holidays anymore….) and then it was “he is really nice, I would never bring someone over I don’t trust” This a guy she has known for 3 hours now.

Am I overreacting here? I didn’t ask if he has his own house, I didn’t even bring up that there is five nights a week where this house is kid free and I don’t care who you bring over for the night. But when he’s here, sleeping with his door open because he’s still scared of the dark I don’t feel comfortable with someone neither of us know potentially just being able to stroll through the house when we are both asleep.

Thoughts?

Edit: There is a pattern to having my son btw. If I have him Tuesday, Wednesday this week, the following will be Wednesday, Thursday and then so on.
