Kosinkadink's awesome Advanced-ControlNet nodes now work with Flux and the InstantX Union controlnet Union model ! The nodes are currently under the "develop" branch and will eventually be merged in the "main" branch, but you can use them now, if you'd like. ๐Ÿ™‚

As they are still not in the main branch, you'll need to go here, click on the big green "<> Code" button, and then click on "Download ZIP". Extract the contents of the ZIP in your "custom_nodes" folder and remove the "-develop" from the name. Then start ComfyUI and it should get loaded automatically.

I've tested it with the Union controlnet model mentioned above in "tile" and "canny" modes and it seems to work just fine! ~~It works even with the non-alpha version of the Union model which had~~ ~~issues~~ ~~with EeroHeikkinen's~~ ~~eesahesNodes~~~~. I may post a workflow later.~~

EDIT: You can get the workflow from here. Just drag and drop the .json file into the ComfyUI workspace.

EDIT 2: It appears that it has some issues with the non-alpha version of the Union model, so I suggest you use the alpha version for now. Maybe this will be fixed in the official release.

FIrst of all, this is NOT a complaint. The open source free software community works for free and give us wonderful things. We wouldn't be here today in the AI image generation without them.

That said, Ive been an AUTO1111 user since the beginning. Now, with Flux, I've reinstalled Comfy (I had it installed for some time in the past but uninstalled) and, as I'm almost exclusively using Flux, I haven't opened AUTO for some time. I'm following the discussions about Flux in the AUTO Github and I know that implementing Flux is not that simple due to the nature of the model and, again, I'm NOT complaining. I just want to know what the community thinks about the feasibility of this implementation. I still prefer AUTO over Comfy even knowing how nodes work (yes, I know COMFY is more powerful, but as a hobbyst AUTO is simply more... simple and direct to the point), so there's a bit of self-interest in that too. :-)

As for the "die slowly" part, unless we have a fantastic, jaw-dropping SD 4.0, looks like Flux is the near future. If people start to lose interest in AUTO the project dies, because the devs will not continue to develop FOR FREE something nobody uses. It's not something I want to see happening, just a thought.

I did a test training a Lora of a popular character in Latin America, Chaves del Ocho.

As the series is old, there aren't many good photos. I had already trained on SDXL and 1.5, but I always had an old photo result.

However, in FLux, everything changed. In addition to being faster (one hour for 2000 steps), the results were much better than dreambooth, and adherence to the prompt is wonderful. The results with a 20 pics dataset is wonderful!

Flux will be very good for restoring and creating modern photos of old characters

Original Title: Almost exactly 2 years ago, I generated my first images using using SD1.4. I'm in awe of the progress that's been made since then. Where do you think AI image generation will be in 2 years from now? (Images generated using Flux Dev NF4 using Forge)

Since about a week there is a Flux-branch in OneTrainer. So far it only has a few commits and it looks like there will be LoRa and DoRa support as well as support for quantizations. Not sure if anything is functional yet. But nice to see they are also pushing things forward in this regard.

Does anybody know more?

Never made a Lora for SDXL but I've decided to at least try my hand at Flux Loras. Should probably start with a character Lora of myself.

I've installed Ai-Toolkit and got my access token saved in the right place. But now it's time to setup my dataset properly and that's where I need help. I've watched some tutorials and read what I can but I'm reading contradicting things.

Some people use 100 images, some say 20 is better. I've seen workflows in Comfy that use img2txt models to generate captions for you. But some people say you don't even need to bother with generating captions for Flux loras and just the trigger word is all you need.

I know that the first time I run my lora.yaml in ai-toolkit it will download a diffuser version of Flux and then the training will take about 2 hours. So I'd rather have a good idea of best practices before I begin and really setup my image folder properly.

If you've got any experience at this please set me on the right path :)

I understand the basics of LoRA training. You got youre images and you caption them accordingly. Everything in the image that you dont caption becomes a part of the concept so to speak.

But I dont understand how these detail enhancers where trained. Did they use to sets of images, one with low quality/details and another(or even the same) image with more details and tag them with the detail enhancing keyword? Or where just high detailed pictures used?
