Great interview with the team behind Flux, from Black Forrest Labs. Talks about why they think Open Weight models are so important, their approach to releasing Flux before a video model and their learnings from Stable Diffusion.

Both the leading UIs (ComfyUI and Forge UI) now support separate loading of T5, which is chunky. Not only that, some people might prefer using a different quant of T5 (fp8 or fp16). So, please stop sharing a flat safetensor file that includes T5. Share only the UNet, please.

That's it on the subject. When 1.5 came out, and then LoRas started to pop up, the excitement was palpable. Then, came ControlNet and other tools, adding to this exceitement. After that, when SDXL came out there was some renewed fanfarre, but things got a bit routine.

Until Flux appeared from nowhere!

Now I visit Civitai and this sub everyday and every day I find new, interesting uses, LoRas and techniques. The excitement is back and the sky seems to be the limit again.

What will be the next big thing after Flux? Flux 2.0? And more important, will my next video card be enough (because the card I have now, with its 12Gb, is already on the verge of what it can do. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Previously I've been using ideogram to generate images with text, but now flux is simply more capable than I ever imagined when it comes to text!

Here are some of my attempts. it's crazy!

  1. Use gpt to summarize the login page writing tips shared by X@namyakhann p1
  2. Let gpt learn to generate based on tips and promt likeX@flngr's PROMPT(p2):

"Magnificent UI screenshot of the landing page of Clapper, a modern AI video editor platform. Use a dark-mode tone, shades of dark grey, little hints of yellow for the primary color. Present various features in sections: timeline editor, script editor, video preview, generative AI. Show a nice preview thumbnail of a realistic video screencap. Each section has a screenshot. It should also have a nice punchline hero title like "Clapper. The future of AI cinema, today.". This has a beautiful design, inspired by dark mode landing pages, apple products, Dribbble mock-ups etc.. Is image associated with filmmaking, backstage, VFX etc. Beautiful webapp."

  1. Generate ui design images base new prompt using flux, result is p3-p4

In fact some of the text in the dev version can be confusing, but emphasizing security in the prompts improves the quality, and of course, pro is stronger and more expensive!

Do you guys think flux is an ideogram killer?

Here's the full prompt: flux prompts

Seems that SAI should've been able to make SD3 what Flux is, and now a small team of devs (I believe formerly from SAI) pretty much make SD3 look like trash. What does this mean for the future of SAI.
