Fuck me. How are they STILL finding more tanks to lose? I'm dead curious about the quality of what they're fielding at this point, are they even still tanks?

Russia name their tanks after the year they were started to be made. They are pretty much out of T62 and T54s are what they are bringing to the front now

This is not correct.

The T-54 entered production in 1947

The T-62 entered production in 1961

The T-72 entered production in 1970

The T-80 entered production in 1976

The T-90 entered production in 1993

The years are pretty close to the names, so the can be used as a rough estimation, but they can't be used as exact years.
