I think they should have done the vocals differently. More aggression would do good IMO.
All in all the original is far better than this cover version. This is a bit lukewarm, which is a shame, because I love Heathen.
Saw this in the feed last night, was thinking about how bland it is as I was listening lol. At least the solo is half decent!
I think they missed a great opportunity. Strange to record sth with so little ambition.
They've been phoning it in these past few years i think. Only really liked the instrumental from the previous album lol. Their revival album was amazing though, like 15+ years ago.
Evolution of Chaos is really great. This is what comes to my mind when I think of Heathen.
Completely agree! Can't beat No Sone Unturned, Silent Nothingness, or even Dying Season. Even though some of it was rerecorded older material hehe.
