But is it enough to help the farmers forget about it come election time?

[-] gustofwind@lemmy.world 46 points 8 months ago

They’re cultural Republicans

Nothing would change the way they vote, nothing

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 10 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

I mean, what choice do they even have? Vote for the DEMONcrats?!??

You have voters who are so brainwashed that even if they fully believe that Trump screwed them will still vote for the next GOP candidate.

At best, they will stay home and refuse to vote.

[-] Someonelol@lemmy.dbzer0.com 29 points 8 months ago

They have a proud heritage of voting to get kicked in the nuts by Republicans and blaming Democrats for it. Please respect their idiotic decisions.

Asking the real questions!

But all a challenger has to do is remind them that Argentina got $80b from their “America First” president.

[-] nixfreak@sopuli.xyz 1 points 8 months ago

Doubtful, full price is what 28 billion in loss.

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 0 points 8 months ago

It's all the Democrats' fault, so vote MAGA again.

[-] ClanOfTheOcho@lemmy.world 61 points 8 months ago

I'm tired of bailing them out every time they decide to screw me at election time.

[-] danc4498@lemmy.world 39 points 8 months ago

I feel like farmers probably voted for Trump, so they should probably just live with the consequences.

[-] PMmeTrebuchets@lemmy.zip 38 points 8 months ago

Idk I think they should try pulling themselves up by their bootstraps instead of accepting a government handout

[-] Thedogdrinkscoffee@lemmy.ca 17 points 8 months ago

American farmers are just lazy and don't want to work anymore.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 34 points 8 months ago

So the people that voted for this are demanding more of a payoff.

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 8 months ago

That's why they voted for this.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 3 points 8 months ago

Well, that and the in-group virtue signaling, and all the racism.

[-] HootinNHollerin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 31 points 8 months ago

He gave argentina more than double that

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 7 points 8 months ago

While shutting down food for poor Americans. Argentina needed the money more.

[-] MiddleAgesModem@lemmy.world 31 points 8 months ago

If you voted for Trump, you shouldn't get a dime.

[-] Ancalagon@lemmy.world 21 points 8 months ago

Yeah, that's the point. It's called corruption.

[-] Formfiller@lemmy.world 18 points 8 months ago

Then stop voting for facists assholes. I hope every last farmer ends up in trump’s for profit homeless prisons

[-] FatVegan@leminal.space 4 points 8 months ago

But they are fascist assholes

[-] village604@adultswim.fan 4 points 8 months ago

Many of them are just really stupid.

[-] lemmylump@lemmy.world 16 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

They're ungrateful socialist.

12 billion and leopards to eat their faces, the nerve.

[-] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 13 points 8 months ago

Did you vote for him?

Then this is all on you.

[-] bklyn@piefed.social 12 points 8 months ago

Have the day you voted for!

[-] nixfreak@sopuli.xyz 9 points 8 months ago

No shit , this administration is the dumbest in history.

[-] myfunnyaccountname@lemmy.zip 6 points 8 months ago

I’m sure the tariff refund. The check for like a month of healthcare. The DOGE refund. Will solve all of their issues.

[-] ameancow@lemmy.world 6 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

So the countries we export animal feed cornmeal and ethanol to are really gonna be sad. They will have to get that shit from one of the many other countries that want to be primary suppliers of the massive amounts inedible corn we turn into a few burgers.
