The spread of censored and mangled syntax is happening because people believe, or have experienced, that platforms will silence them for accurately describing the world in plain language. This shit is terrible, and it has to stop.

Addressed to the board of directors, the notice of boycott -- effective immediately -- said that in the months after the researchers were removed and banned from the meeting for distributing an editorial on federal research funding cuts, the ADA "offered shifting justifications, no apology, and despite the CEO's ... promise, no truly independent review" of the events.

The editors of ADA's flagship journal, Diabetes Care, have joined on in support of the boycott.

"Manuscripts submitted will not be handled until the boycott is over," said Steven Kahn, MBChB, the journal's editor in chief and one of the five researchers ejected from the meeting in New Orleans, in a LinkedIn post on Thursday.

The American Diabetes Association should be about diabetes, not censorship.

This is the first time Turbo Encabulator was recorded with picture. I shot this in the late 70's at Regan Studios in Detroit on 16mm film. The narrator and writer is Bud Haggert. He was the top voice-over talent on technical films. He wrote the script because he rarely understood the technical copy he was asked to read and felt he shouldn't be alone. ...
