Can't wait for the first report of a person regrowing a tooth in their eyeball...

That image makes my body scrunch up the same way those spider-tined head massage things do.

It's like that weird Skittles commercial, but worse.

Looks like it may be in Japan? The link in the article is not in English:

The team is recruiting for this Phase IIa trial now.

Awesome. I always thought it was unfair that sharks get unlimited teeth while we are limited to two sets.

Interesting that the treatment is intravenous. I would have thought it would need to be injected locally. I wonder how they ensure that teeth grow only where there are missing teeth, or control what type of tooth grows at a given position?

It's won't be approved by the FDA for 20 years and will cost $80,000 per tooth. They'll drag out the process of getting a generic out so it's affordable as long as possible, only for it to them still not be covered by medical insurance, and only 30% by dental if you're lucky.

By the time this is actually beneficial to the working class the human race will already be extinct. But at least the stock market will have done great up until the end there.

in five years biohackers with 3d printed robot-aided recombinant crispr dna manufacturing will have this shit on order via the darkweb and wet-shop expertise left over from the implosion of the healthcare industry.

no, wait, that's william gibson, shit....
