This community was the first hockey related one I found when I got here so I joined and started posting stuff. Too be honest I'd rather be part of a better community than a more popular one. I'll try and help make this one good but I'm not opposed to joining others if they are good too.
Hey, I just realized that you are the mod in the hockey community. Hopefully it keeps growing. It would probably be easier if Canadian teams were still playing, but whatever.
I created it a few years ago trying to add communities that seemed to fit with the dot ca. I am not the biggest hockey fan but willing to contribute to the community and include other people into the mods when needed.
Well it's getting more active pretty fast.
Hey. I'm not sure how to direct message anyone here. Would you be able to sticky the gdt in hockey when it's posted? I think it'll be posted around 3pm eastern, but not 100% sure of the time zone.
Link it like !hockey@lemmy.ca so it works in the apps
If I click on that in the app it just opens outlook on my phone. Am I missing something? I'm totally new here.
My bad I thought it worked like that but I can see it doesn't. I think the Android app is kind of lacking.
No worries. I've just been letting the links open in the browser, subscribe to the community then when I reopen the app I can go to a community I like easily. Maybe there's a better way? Hopefully there will eventually be a better way haha.
