Miserable weather today. The car was getting very low on fuel but I didn't really want to stop. I'd seen petrol this morning at 193c so made a bargain with myself that I would stop if it was below 190, but otherwise I would put it off. Damn petrol station had 187c. I was very affronted by its refusal to cooperate in my attempt to avoid stopping so decided to make a stand and refuse to fill up at such a rude and uncooperative petrol station. Home has now been successfully achieved and petrol can wait for another day.

I was running a bit low to risk an airport run yesterday so I put in $15 worth at a 7/11 doing 1.84/L, I think. It was a very short stop... but it'll get me through another week at least.

I'm looking for a tea caddy spoon and fell down a rabbit hole of T2 fancy teas and infusions and weighing and timing and i'm just like....dude i'm too fucking poor white for this shit. I shovel it into a giant pot, fill it with boiling water then strain out the gooblies with a sieve as my ancestors did.

I haven't even got out of mine. Put a bra on, yes. But the child's clothes are sorted and 3 bags of outgrown clothes are ready for the OP shop.

Has anyone got a nice simple puff pastry recipe they use and can recommend? I made homemade sausage rolls today and my filling was delicious, but I'm annoyed at the bought pastry I used. It was awful! I've tried every brand of readily available bought puff and it's all awful, I'm over it.

You can't go wrong with Julia Childs' recipie - many heaps of vijos on youtoob. This is the old school classic, and takes a fair bit of work and time. The good side is that the raw pastry freezes well, so making a large batch and only using the portion you need for one use, and then for the next use 90% of the work is already done - at least until the stash is used up. Recommend using unsalted cultured butter for the authentic flavor. The original and best.

For quick pastry, I like using the Womens Weekly Rough Puff for savory recipies - so quick and easy and the results taste just fine though the texture is not quite as flaky. Again, one zillion recipies on youtoob. You can play a bit fast and loose with the proportions for this recipie depending on what you have available, so it's a very user friendly method. The only real secret is using chilled water to mix and resting the dough before rolling out and using. This weather is perfect for pastry - it's a pain to make in hot weather.

Interesting. Apparently the city of Melbourne use Ninite

For all we know a City of Melbourne employee installed a free trial 10 years ago using their work email. That tends to be how these logo showcases work.

I think that's how Slack and Atlassian got so many logos for their websites. Look through the free tier for recognisable brands and download the press kit

That reminds me. I saw the other day you were saying your PC isn't that great. I've got a spare i7 board and CPU you can have. Can send it to you via mail if you want it.

It's pretty much gathering dust. Not too old either. I just can't remember the exact model of CPU.

I'm an AMD guy now lol

Had a productive day: caught up with the real estate agents who sold me this place and checked out a place that had been suggested but came onto the market too late to suit. (This one is definitely better.) Then started tackling the boxes of kitchen stuff that are still unpacked as well as reorganising the kitchen. Then felt like a break and a bahn mi so I got that via another OFI in the block of units where I made my first offer and got pipped at the post. And had no trouble walking at a medium pace three times for about 15 minutes, so yay!
