jesus christ, we really got elected officials acting like the goddamn Prom committee choosing a theme. This isn't a congress, this is high school in the Valley.

So what you're saying is karate will solve our problems?

[–] assclapcalamity@kbin.social 10 points 1 year ago

yes. a master of karate and friendship for everyone... sadly not to be found on the house floor.

We gotta go DEEP into the memes for this one!

On a somber note, that cat is probably long dead. :(

Haha, holy shit, that is the perfect description. I think you’re shooting too high by putting this in the Valley though. As a midwesterner, this is some small town, small school, Queen Bee-at-the-apex-of-her-existence shit.

It’s not gonna be long before someone busts out some Boone’s Farm at one of these meetings, 2A Barbie and Madge have a few too many, and suddenly we’re in the middle of a donnybrook.

I thought more like Springer (the tv show).

Jerry! Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!

[–] artisanrox@kbin.social 3 points 1 year ago

The DNA tests show that YOU, Lauren, ARE the bitch!

[–] Griffchang@kbin.social 1 points 1 year ago

THEY NEED MORE SUNNYBANK POWER

[–] hillbicks@feddit.de 1 points 1 year ago

Or the party planning committee of dunder Mifflin. Take your pick on the constellation.

One can only hope that they're dragging each other down and bot that one side comes up really on top. The next year is going to tense for US politics

I can't believe Wizards of the coast would do this ... wait

[–] GraceGH@kbin.social 19 points 1 year ago

They did send the pinkertons after that one guy for opening the new set early.

[–] Granite@kbin.social 6 points 1 year ago

They would if they found themselves in Congress.

[–] Scio@kbin.social 6 points 1 year ago

@metaStatic Are you kidding, after the D&D OGL fiasco I totally believe WotC would do that.

[–] ArugulaZ@kbin.social 22 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Oooh! Trouble in paradise, conservatives?

You elect freaks, freaks are going to act like freaks. We all knew the kind of person Marjorie Tapeworm Greene was from the moment she started harassing AOC... she's an attention whore, a sadist, and likely an in-bred kill-billy. Have you seen her? She looks like the thermostat malfunctioned in the prehistoric exhibit at Madame Tussaud's. She's so full of redundant DNA she doesn't have two original chromosomes to rub together. If she gets in a fight with Whorin' Hoe-bert, I hope one of them dies and the other gets mortally wounded.

[–] nevernevermore@kbin.social 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You elect freaks, freaks are going to act like freaks.

The people electing them don't actually see what they're doing at work. They don't know how politicking works apart from "fuck you, libs"

[–] Maeve@kbin.social 1 points 1 year ago

Thing is, they don’t.

So… when is their beef going to be settled with mud wrestling?

Cuz seriously… I’m getting PH cat fight vibes

[–] ColonelSanders@kbin.social 20 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Haven't we suffered enough?

[–] Flaky_Fish69@kbin.social 5 points 1 year ago

Uh. probably.

yeah. definitely. I apologize.

[–] Drusas@kbin.social 17 points 1 year ago

This is what happens when you have multiple idiots competing for the title of Republican Barbie.

[–] peppapip@kbin.social 17 points 1 year ago (1 children)

"She was driven to file articles of impeachment against Biden because God “directed” her to." Lmao!

[–] Aesthesiaphilia@kbin.social 43 points 1 year ago (1 children)

[God, to Boebert:] YOU MUST IMPEACH BIDEN. I HAVE SELECTED YOU FOR THIS TASK.

[God, to MTG:] YOU MUST IMPEACH BIDEN. I HAVE SELECTED YOU FOR THIS TASK.

[God, in Heaven, to Ruth Bader Ginsberg:] YO, GRAB SOME POPCORN AND CHECK THIS SHIT OUT.

[–] assclapcalamity@kbin.social 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

RBG should never have been allowed to control the US govt by refusing to retire. I don't she was corrupt, but she was holding out. I advocate for term limits and ethics rules on u.s. supreme court justices.

[–] Flaky_Fish69@kbin.social 2 points 1 year ago

Can we slap those on congress, too?

[–] BIONIC-1@kbin.social 9 points 1 year ago

That's friggin hilarious. Let them fight it out.

[–] ilikemoney@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago (2 children)

What are they even impeaching him over?

[–] chaogomu@kbin.social 26 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Being a democrat with a Republican led house.

That's what it really boils down to. There's a bullshit excuse, but what they really want to do is to impeach Biden at least three times so that Trump's very real crimes are ignored in a tide of "both sides". They're hoping to distract from the recent indictment and upcoming trial over Trump's blatant violations of the espionage act. An act that Trump strengthened while trying to weaponize it against Hillary Clinton.

[–] rackmountrambo@kbin.social 7 points 1 year ago

That's the best part, he made the bed and then he shit in it.

[–] ProF@kbin.social 9 points 1 year ago

They're just mad that Trump got impeached twice.

[–] Limeey@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I mean, she is, but it would be nice to have leaders that matured beyond middle school.

[–] ArugulaZ@kbin.social 4 points 1 year ago

Or advanced beyond the left hand side of an evolutionary chart.

[–] PabloDiscobar@kbin.social 4 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

That's the content you want for /m/politics? Because it tells me that you want Reddit all over again.

[–] DrYes@kbin.social 4 points 1 year ago

At least there's no businessinsider article on the frontpage. and only two newsweek articles. both of which specialize in clickbait headlines and questionable article flavoring.

[–] AmidFuror@kbin.social 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Loses it? She lost it long ago.

[–] assclapcalamity@kbin.social 2 points 1 year ago (2 children)

don't attribute to the newcomers the old insanities of the U.S. Congress. Look this one up:

"Southern Congressman Preston Brooks savagely beats Northern Senator Charles Sumner"

[–] Flaky_Fish69@kbin.social 1 points 1 year ago

they should bring dueling back. with swords.

gotta get some turnover in there somehow, amirite?

[–] Badtooth@kbin.social 1 points 1 year ago

I thought that said Charles Schumer 😂

[–] Lightninhopkins@kbin.social 3 points 1 year ago

Who cares. These people are pathetic.
