How does this sound for the title of a cricket themed/haunted mansion story: Caught and Ghouled (a play on caught and bowled).

Otherwise I'm stuck with the temporary title of 'The Haunted Mansion' which is overplayed.

That seems to be the case, with lots of mysterious sightings. But it turns out he's the old caretaker who lives next door, who's been creeping around at night trying to get the the bottom of strange noises heard in the walls and a seemingly haunted cricket ball that moves around although no-one has been near it. After much sleuthing by the hero and caretaker it is eventually resoved that the "ghost" is actually a playful little black cat that they adopt and name Midnight. They live happily ever after.

The Daily Chair. The other day I bought an outdoor thermometer for the terrace just to check that the nights are warm enough for me to do painting. It's consistently 2-3 degrees warmer than the temps weathermaps gives for this suburb and it needs to be over 10 , which it is, so that's good.

I just finished doing a very fine sanding, then a wipe down and another coat of black stain. This time I was very careful to watch for drips.

It's a really old chair so I just have to accept that it's going to look knocked about even with restoration. Gen-you-wine shabby, not fake ...lol

Temu order update: Package arrived. Shoes were ungrated. However the grater was not great. It was very flimsy, bent out of shape and has been refunded.

Spotify brought out a musical generation thingy

Apparently based on my musical taste, my musical generation is 99% not my generation, 1% my generation. Love that

As a millennial I don't know why this surprised me

How do you do, fellow zoomers?
