I, too, have not been endorsed by Taylor Swift. I'm not so weird about it that I feel the need to fake it.

I don’t know of any guaranteed ways to make TSwift respond to/refute something, but this has got to be right at the top of the list.

In many countries, falsely claiming support from an influential person can get your political party is deregistered for the next election.

Well here in America we have jerbs and.... And freedom! So.... Murica!

back in the pile!

[–] gac11@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

Don't forget about guns

[–] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

We can also sue for pretty much anything.

[–] ThatWeirdGuy1001@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago

Wouldn't this qualify for a lawsuit? She's a preformer so I'm pretty sure you can't use her likeness without consent.

The mockery from Democrats was swift.

That got a chuckle.

[–] LazaroFilm@lemmy.world 17 points 3 months ago

A sensible chuckle.

Hello fan and friend. It is I, famous singer Taylor Swift. Here today to endorse (insert name), a very good friend and fan. Please private message me for postage/payment information and to receive your signed endorsement from me, Taylor Swift.

It's me, (Kan)ye, and I do not approve this message. Imma let you finish, but Kamala had one of the best endorsements OF ALL TIME. I am of course referring to Donald Trump donating to Harris's campaign when she was running for AG.

Insert antisemitic sign-off here.

Nice try, George Santos!

“I think she’s beautiful — very beautiful! I find her very beautiful. I think she’s liberal. She probably doesn’t like Trump. I hear she’s very talented. I think she’s very beautiful, actually — unusually beautiful!"

I don't think it's with her popularity that the creepy old serial sex abuser is preoccupied...

[–] MagicShel@programming.dev 31 points 3 months ago (1 children)

The fact that she has been completely silent on this... I really wonder if she's waiting to respond until she's on stage. At the DNC.

Or maybe it's just not even been a day yet and she's working on a response with her lawyers and/or PR person.

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 16 points 3 months ago (3 children)

She'd want to get the full effect, which would be doing it at the DNC. Even her statement might get lost if it's right before. Plus, let Trump and the rest keep saying more stuff the days before and digging the hole deeper, it will give more to work with.

[–] MagicShel@programming.dev 9 points 3 months ago

She'll only do it at the DNC if she's ready to endorse, but this could be Trump shooting himself in the misshapen dick again.

[–] MeekerThanBeaker@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago

I doubt she'll be at the DNC. She'll grab all the headlines for even being there. She's too big of a star.

[–] MinFapper@startrek.website 4 points 3 months ago

I doubt she'll be at the DNC. It won't even be very useful if she does. I don't know how many fans are even interested in politics, let alone watch the DNC.

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 25 points 3 months ago (2 children)

He's obsessed with her because she reminds him of his daughter

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 22 points 3 months ago (1 children)

And because she has bigger crowds than he does.

[–] xycu@programming.dev 18 points 3 months ago

And more money, too

[–] silence7@slrpnk.net 8 points 3 months ago

Now that's weird

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 18 points 3 months ago (1 children)

This is going to be an extreme week for Trump. All eyes on Harris and Walz, he’s going to try really hard to get some attention.

[–] Rocketpoweredgorilla@lemmy.ca 10 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Next week he's gonna be in a star spangled cape singing Elvis tunes in front of a cgi audience.

[–] BoxOfFeet@lemmy.world 14 points 3 months ago

That's pretty fitting, considering dying on the toilet is a risk at his age.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 13 points 3 months ago

He never asks ladies for consent, first.

Neat! I know next to nothing about her, but it's refreshing seeing a celebrity simply speaking out in a casual environment. Didn't expect to watch the whole thing.

Who are the people she's defending herself to?

EDIT: It's her family.

[–] cm0002@lemmy.world 11 points 3 months ago

The Manager (Dad? Idk): WHAT IF THEY WRITE YOU'RE AGAINST DONALD TRUMP

Swift: I don't care if they do, I should have 2 years ago

The Manager :O

LMAO

[–] LazaroFilm@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

I k ow nothing about her either but I always got stuck watching the whole thing when I stumbled upon this. I believe it’s her family and entourage like manager, agent, etc…

[–] elliot_crane@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

I’ve always been in that camp that doesn’t listen to her music but gets the impression that she’s a decent person. After watching that video I can confirm that Taylor Swift is a MF real one.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago

Remember when the weirdo right wing thought she was their white queen?

[–] skvlp@lemm.ee 7 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Trump probably thinks women should be occupied with housework. I’m looking forward to Taylor cleaning the floor with him in court.

[–] silence7@slrpnk.net 10 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Anything in court won't be resolved until years after the election. She should do a benefit concert for the Harris campaign to make her position clear and have a meaningful impact.

[–] skvlp@lemm.ee 7 points 3 months ago (1 children)
[–] silence7@slrpnk.net 4 points 3 months ago

Both is fine; legal action on its own isn't useful here.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

The old creepy weirdo did what now?

[–] Chocrates@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

Has she endorsed Kamala yet? I want to see the brain rot that spews from trump when that happens.
