Isn't top builds getting nerfed more or less a tradition now?

It sure is. Nerfs come in different sizes though and this one seems to be a butchering.

However, everyone is probably going to be playing spirit born anyway so… I don’t suppose it really matters.

No one's going to be playing anyone but Spirit born anyways because they've obviously added on an extra zero to every number for that class to sell expansions
