I'm going to need lots of coffee
Hmm, went to a local bar last night. I used to semi-frequent it and have always had a good time.
Last night they asked to scan my ID and they took a photo of my face. I was told they only retain data until the end of the night.
Anyone have any idea what the legalities are around this?
that's a big no from me, I would leave and tell them why
I do not trust them
and there is no reasonable reason they could want that anyway
Yeah, I’d leave. Same reasons as others have mentioned, and why I’ve refused to provide fingerprints for elimination purposes. Data can’t be misused if it doesn’t exist.
So I finished Umbrella Academy last night. Oh man what a disappointment. After 5 and a half episodes it was left to the final 20 minutes to explain the problem and to wrap everything up. What a dumpster fire. I mean it was never the best show, but that ending just sucked hard.
had a busy day of using the vacuum cleaner , playing records and writing messages to mates planned but husband is home and he needs quiet
so will go and pick up some shopping instead 🤷♀️
Okay, seems I’m full of questions this evening.
Peeps who work in academia, pls… How do late penalties on assignments work? This is going to sound so stupid, but I really am confused about this. I always thought the late penalty was applied to the final mark, but it seems not. It is applied to the total possible mark? Can someone give me an example of how this is applied? (Also, is this standard across Universities?)
Over 20 years ago the penalty was to total possible. And hand in on last day got 50% automatic, unread, unmarked, no feedback.
Can you please show me how that works?
So say the mark was out of a possible 40 and the mark was 35 but there was a penalty of 35%.
What happens then?
