Another moron who is going to prison for Trump.

[–] QubaXR@lemmy.world 57 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Fucking conservatives will do anything to get Trump elected.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 48 points 1 day ago

Yes. Take that seriously.

[–] doingthestuff@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (6 children)

This doesn't make sense though. They could destroy thousands of ballots and it's not like either of those states are going to go to Trump.

[–] Seleni@lemmy.world 5 points 20 hours ago

But it could win them more local elections, and then we get fuckery like what’s happening in Florida and Texas all up in our business.

Local elections matter too, and often more, than national ones.

[–] MirthfulAlembic@lemmy.world 2 points 20 hours ago

Both states in these areas have toss-up Congressional races. They could decide control of the House.

[–] TheReturnOfPEB@reddthat.com 18 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Yes sabotaging elections via fire bomb in ballot box is not a rational action.

[–] HK65@sopuli.xyz 3 points 1 day ago

Chaos makes a coup easier.

[–] sandwichsaregood@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

It's probably some terrorist asshole LARPing as a freedom fighter thinking they are "sending a message" more than actually trying to directly sabotage vote tallies.

[–] leadore@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

I read elsewhere that one of the locations is in a district with a competitive House race.

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 33 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I guess Clarkson was wrong (again): Not everyone who drives a Volvo is a nice person.

[–] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I wouldn't be surprised if they chose it because people would assume that a volvo driver wouldn't be a conservative. Like a disguise!

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

I've only known two people who drove Volvos in my life. Both of them were rich conservatives.

[–] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

FInd the fascist, folks.

[–] sp3tr4l@lemmy.zip 22 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Unknown rear plate?

... SovCit Imaginary Ambassador of the Peoples Republic of My House's Property Limts License?

[–] ThePantser@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

Yeah whoever installed the security cameras really failed, they should have had 3, one for front, one for back, and one for faces.

[–] Nougat@fedia.io 25 points 1 day ago

Gen 1 Volvo S60 (2000-2009), black, dark blue, or charcoal gray.

[–] TheEighthDoctor@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Of those 558 how many have black rims? Probably less than half

[–] Atropos@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

This is also a model other than R, since the R line for that year range has special headlights.

[–] timewarp@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago

I live here in Vancouver and will be on the lookout, but I'm not optimistic. Police in Vancouver basically do almost nothing on crime and are filled with a bunch of people that want to see the city go to shit so they can blame Democrats.

[–] blockheadjt@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Car doesn't look black to me. Charcoal or titanium or some such.

Seats are beige leather/synthetic, not fabric.

[–] ThePantser@lemmy.world 15 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Witch Hunt! Lets gooooo. Jk let's not repeat the Boston Marathon thing.

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 19 points 1 day ago

It's okay, that was Reddit. It could never happen here. /s

Holy crap that newspaper's site is a dumpster fire of popups and ads.

[–] wesker@lemmy.sdf.org 14 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Would this land someone in federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison?

[–] iamericandre@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago

I think it’s a first class ticket

[–] colonelp4nic@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (4 children)

We can do better than prison rape jokes :/

[–] ProIsh@lemmy.world 21 points 1 day ago

Maybe we can focus on Office Space jokes instead

[–] NABDad@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

How about shiving jokes?

[–] Milk_Sheikh@lemm.ee 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

WILD that you’re getting downvoted. Seems some agree a person can “deserve to be raped”… y’all need to do better.

Idgaf if they’re convicted of the most heinous crime, rape and mental torture was not part of the sentence handed out in court. Never mind that there’s thousands of people who are wrongly convicted.

[–] ChicoSuave@lemmy.world 15 points 1 day ago (1 children)

OP was quoting Office Space. A character in the movie is scared of prison and thinks that the worst punishment would be time in a minimum security detention center until they are corrected by another character who uses the overly dramatic "point you in the ass" prison to describe the level of misery that the character will be in.

You can hate the joke but OP is using it correctly.

[–] Milk_Sheikh@lemm.ee 2 points 1 day ago (2 children)

It’s still needlessly being repeated, and trivializes prison rape as a ‘normal’ thing. I can cherry pick lines from a bunch of movies like Blazing Saddles or Django Unchained that are inappropriate - but it’d be ‘using it correctly’ right?

"You're not wrong Walter. You're just an asshole."

[–] wesker@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 1 day ago

Watch your cornhole, bud.

[–] wesker@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

I need an example, please.

[–] ThePantser@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Would this land someone in federal shank-me-in-the-ass prison?

[–] Atropos@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Man, giving us S60 drivers a bad name.

We're supposed to be chill!

[–] EtherWhack@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Where were you on Monday, and can anyone corroborate?

[–] Atropos@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yep! I was binging Factorio with my buddies - we have launched our first space station, and finally have power production under control!

[–] Crashumbc@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

FAKE! Everyone knows it's impossible to get power production "under control". He did it!

J/K

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

[–] jenbanim@mastodo.neoliber.al 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

[–] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Probably intentional misdirection!
