Source is from episode 6.

What hasn't already been said about Frieren at this point. Long before an anime adaptation had been announced, I was a huge fan of the manga. I was worried that it wouldn't translate to the anime medium very well due to the slower pace and less intense action compared to many other shounen. Well, I shouldn't have worried at all. They pulled out all the stops in the adaptation and juiced up the action sequences through gorgeous visuals and a fantastic OST.

Season 2 has been announced, but given the production schedules of the teams involved, it will likely be quite some time until it gets worked on or comes out. Even if I have to wait 10 years for it, I am happy to give it the time they need to create magic like they did in season 1. It will be a mere 10-year adventure in the meantime.

Edit: Just wanted to include a mention of !frieren@ani.social as well.

I watched Frieren not knowing anything about it and it blew me away. Season two will be worth the wait

I remember reading the show description and it was something like "Generations after the defeat of the demon lord, an elven mage takes an apprentice," so I thought it was going to be a lighthearted relaxing little story.

NOPE!

The problem with Frieren is it makes all the other anime i try to watch suck by comparison

I would be more than okay with a couple decades of Frieren (and maybe some spinoffs for different stories with similar fantasy atmosphere, too).

There is at least one collection of Frieren short story spinoffs. As far as I know though, this has not been translated to English yet. Maybe some short OVAs to help tide us over.

That shot of Stark hanging on to the dragons side for just two seconds or so is amazing.

Also the scene only uses like a third of the full track Dragon Smasher

Not a fan of the Seven Deadly Frames-esque battle sequence, but it does seem like the go-to technique of portraying fluid battle movements (see: Pain vs. Naruto). Doesn't change that I don't like it.

That reveal that Stark killed the dragon though. That's good.
