You know a good union would prevent this kind of thing.

[–] psycho_driver@lemmy.world 35 points 2 months ago (2 children)

I dunno back in the day Unions weren't above using violence to get their message across.

[–] RadicalEagle@lemmy.world 38 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Being willing to commit property destruction is a minimum requirement of a union imo.

Being willing to dispose of a boss in a ditch is a minimum requirement for a good union. Actually doing the property destruction is another minimum.

Unfortunately, I don't believe we have many or any good unions left.

Well it was usually in response to an escalation of violence by the State

[–] Sterile_Technique@lemmy.world 23 points 2 months ago

An even better union would have done it a decade or two ago.

"It’s not clear why the suspect stabbed the victim" Employee "He needed to be stabbed"

[–] bdonvr@thelemmy.club 16 points 2 months ago

Without seeing any further evidence I side with the employee here

Why couldn't he stab a CHILD instead? We need to SAVE these CEOS and Rulemakers!

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.ml 39 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Yknow. A smart guy might see something brewing below the surface with these things

[–] Agent641@lemmy.world 19 points 2 months ago

What a coincidence that all these unrelated incidents keep happening

[–] riodoro1@lemmy.world 38 points 2 months ago

Please, please be a start of something.

We really need to undo their entire class.

[–] Garibaldee@lemm.ee 33 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Definitely a wait and see for the motive, could very easily be an interpersonal thing vs a killing the bosses thing

[–] dohpaz42@lemmy.world 29 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I believe right now it’s inconsequential either way. The timing of the incident will forever be tied to our man Luigi.

[–] ColeSloth@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 2 months ago

The timing is probably the only reason this is newsworthy.

So weird when people's meager needs are passed over for rich people's profits instead.

Does he need my phone to call his hotline?

[–] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

At least the anger is directed at the right people and place instead of just going postal.

[–] blazeknave@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

Anyone actually read the (Christian website) article? He was newly hired to be CFO. This was not class uprising. Crazy guy stabbed someone.

Could've taken notice & made changes when someone pissed in his coffee mug every morning, but no, had to keep up the shitty greed and get stabbed

"It’s not clear why the suspect stabbed the victim, but police are investigating. Officers are reviewing videos."

I can't tell if they say these types of things to be cautious about jumping to unknown conclusions (good journalism) or they're being willfully obtuse.

I'm not sure why he did it either, but reading that article I have a good guess.
